I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I am using Firefox 125 in Windows 11. And this just happens recently.

Sometimes, quite frequently, when I click the addressbar wanting to input or select a new address. The Firefox UI freezes (before the dropdown list of addresses is shown). The video/audio/other effects are still working, and from task manager, it does not cost more CPU/mem than usual. But it does not response to key press or mouse action. All I can do (that I know of) is killing the processes. The problem does not seem related to "current" webpage I am browsing. And I have not installed new addons for a few months.

Any idea what should I look into?

Comments on YouTube videos are no longer visible after Firefox version 115.10esr update. They do however work on my other computer which also has Firefox but not an esr version since it has a more current version of windows. I tried deleting all cookies and cache, starting in safe mode, disabling ad-blocking on YouTube but nothing worked. I'm thinking of rolling back to the previous update but would rather have this problem fixed.

The news reader (powered by Technavia) for the Tucson Daily Star starts OK but continually slows down and eventually Firefox hangs and is non responsive. It happens in different places. The same news reader works OK in Edge or Chrome. Any idea how to trouble shoot this?

I've been trying to connect to discord for a while, left it on for 2 hours and hasnt loaded. when i opened the console log, all it said was "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://gateway.discord.gg/?encoding=json&v=9&compress=zlib-stream" all over. Please help.

I have tried all fixes suggested by others reporting similar problems with previous versions, but this was noticeable for me yesterday afternoon right after some downtime and the latest version (for me) of Firefox was installed. Every time I try to use a site requiring recaptcha, the wheel spins and I get no choice to log in. I've cleared cookies and my cache, refreshed Firefox, etc. Nothing works.

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. So I noticed an issue with certain websites a few days ago. I was trying to make a hair appointment online, it was asking me to fill in my email, and the box wouldn't let me click on it. I used a different browser, and it worked just fine. Same thing today: I was trying to make a lab appointment, the next step was verifying I'm not a robot, I clicked the box, and it had a loading circle eternally. I tried it on a different browser, and it worked within seconds, no loading. I've never had this issue with Firefox before! I tried clearing my cookies and cache, and that didn't do anything unfortunately. Let me know what I can do to fix this problem! I normally loved Firefox and it's my main browser, so I'm hoping to resolve this issue. Thanks so much!

Since upgrading to the last version, 125.0.3 I'm getting tab crashes. Is there any way to go to a previous version? I have not had any issues with the websites I'm visiting until this new version of Firefox.

I prefer using Firefox as my browser (have done so for years), but recently I have noticed inability to open some hints provided on my family trees on Ancestry.com

When I called Ancestry, they suggested I use a different browser (: - but when I did, I was able to open the hints Firefox won't open. What is the problem? I was also told that another Ancestry user had called in previously with the same problem. PLEASE fix this!

If it helps, I use Windows on an HP Envy laptop (have for some time - wasn't a problem before a month or so ago). Will I hear back from anyone as to when this might be addressed/fixed?

Firefox is not opening. Every time I try to use it, I get the message:

" We're sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed. We’ll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts."

Hello, have been scratching my head for a while on this one. Have a freshly setup install of Debian 12, using Sway (wayland) as my Window Manager. I am really struggling with slowness in Firefox, page loads take easily 15 seconds whereas loading the exact same page in another window at the same time with Chromium Debian build has near instantaneous load times. I've tried the following troubleshooting steps: - Created a new firefox profile - Tried "Troubleshooting Mode" in Firefox - Disabled ipv6 in firefox about:config and in Debian - Tried different DNS servers - Tried different non-debian specific builds of Firefox - Tried Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly for Debian

None of these steps made any difference, and Chromium has continued to be significantly faster. Am really stuck here and would love to get to the bottom of this as Firefox is the only browser that works with a HiDPI display in Sway without blurryness. Happy to provide any and all diagnostics and reports that are needed. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: It seems to be some kind of networking issue, using a VPN solves it. But still doesn't explain why Chromium would behave differently.

I've reported these issues before with no response. I've uninstalled reinstalled cleared cache and cookies searched another forums et cetera. Why must I manually update when it's set to auto update? When I set controls to ask where to download items it bypasses that and downloads it as a temp file where I have to cut it out of explorer and paste it where I would like to save it.

Starting today (Apr 30), when trying to open firefox the following message appears:

"Firefox is running, but not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." My options are to close firefox or cancel.

When selecting close firefox, the message will reappear with the same options. I am unable to run.

I am able to start FF with no problem. I open a few tabs and then without warning I can't access any of the sites without closing FF and restarting. Then the whole cycle is repeated. I am considering getting rid of FF this started just over a month ago.

WHY IT LOGGED OUT ALL MY ACCOUNTS FROM TABS WHEN EVER I CLOSE MY BROWSER, I HAVE TO RE-LOGIN AGAIN AND AGAIN, WHICH IS SO SO FRUSTRATING..................................

I'm trying to watch videos on Disney plus and Amazon prime. I can't get them to work. I tried various tutorials but many were irrelevant because they referred to google chrome which I don't even have. I tried checking and unchecking the enable DRM checkbox. Widevine never seems to update. I do not know how to install in manually.

I am trying to log on to my account at SketchUp. At the login page i hit get started and a black page come up except in the top left corner is typed "Firefox not responding" the page hangs a few moments then it takes me back to SketchUp login. I have not had any recent updates done or required since last logged in and that was yesterday all worked well.
