Text in tabs and menus is too small. I tried doing the about:config and put in 1.5 in place of -1. It made the internet page text bigger, but not the text in the tabs. Any other ideas?

While hovering over a Youtube video it shows the full video title as "hover text" if the tab is focused. However, if something else, even another Firefox window is focused hovering no longer shows anything. Is there some kind of setting to change that? I figured it could be browser and Youtube specific because Chrome shows it on Youtube even when not focused, but neither browser shows it on Google search for example, but I'm not sure.

Hello! I am using the following code (userChrome.css) to color the individual folders created on the toolbar and it works great;

What I am trying to find, is how to change the color of the individual folder name (text) from white to maybe black, yellow, etc.….

The topic says it all. How do I prevent Firefox from shifting my typing from the search field to the address bar?

I try to type a search into the field on my homepage but the cursor gets shunted up to the address bar and I can't find a setting turn it off. I would prefer my typing to stay where I place the cursor with a click rather than being shunted off somewhere else on the screen.

You'll laugh like drains. I've got PagePlus 9 which lets you design .PDFs with fillable fields in, the idea BEING I could send out a form which anyone could fill in in their browser without having to understand word-processing. Looked great in PagePlus 9, loaded it into Firefox and it sucked royally - fields and data all over the show. Back to the drawing board. Nearly 5 hours and countless revisions later, it still sucked royally in Firefox.

Then I tried it in Chrome, Edge, Hola and CCBrowser and it worked like an absolute dream. Displayed perfectly. Let you enter data perfectly. Put it back into Firefox and it immediately sucked blue whales through thin straws again. So it's GOT to be a hewge bug with Firefox and .PDFs. Anyone know what it is and how to handle it?

In retrospect, I, too, find it Pretty Darned Funny that I didn't think of testing it in another browser before spending 5 hours on the thing! But if it's a Firefox and PDF bug, why's nobody spotted it in Developerland? That's the bit I don't get really. (If they HAD, surely they'd've just opened up the inner workings of another browser, learned what they were doing wrong and used what they'd learned?)

Can reload it and take screenshots if requested.

I have my bookmarks alphabetized. When I click on one far down the list & then want to click on the next one the list of my bookmarks always reverts to the top of my list. Can I change this to have my bookmarks stay in the same place that I left off with instead of having to scroll all the way down again?

I am working on the Firefox source code and I want to make sure that when I distribute the compiled version, the user profile that opens in the browser is the same as the one found in a specific location in the source code(obj-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc\tmp\profile-default) . How can I make sure that the user profile that opens in the distributed Firefox contains the same extensions and settings as the user profile stored in the source code

I'm inspecting an element and when I use the 3 dot menu and search, it shows me results in sources tab. I try to edit the result, but it won't let me edit the sources tab. It only lets me edit in the elements tab. How do I search the elements tab? It keeps sending me to sources. It would be great if sources was made read/write as well. Many thanks.

Firefox has inexplicably begun opening in a narrow screen by defalt. I want to set it to opening full screen by default. It's a pain to have to click twice or press F11 for full screen use. How please?

As I said above, Title Menu where you have file edit view.... the color is red and too dark how do I change this? When I installed firefox as my default browser, it had asked what color, I selected Red, but it is too dark, I would like to change the color. Thanks

I am using Firefox on a desktop and recently upgraded to 112. I have been trying for the last 6 months to SHORTEN the address bar (NO, I do NOT use Search on Firefox) and cannot find an answer anywhere. I am completely exasperated at all controls Firefox has taken away from users the past few years and this is the final straw before I leave you. PLEASE tell me how to REALLY shorten the god-awful length of the url bar so I can see more addons ON the desktop. Thank you very much.

After the last couple of updates Firefox will not wrap words in view source screen(CTRL+U). This makes the info very difficult to read as most lines of code run off the screen. How do fix this? Thanks.

Hi--is there a way to do this? My boyfriend accidentally deleted all my Firefox bookmarks last fall (hundreds), then restored the last backup from July, which he said for some reason was a lot larger than the most recent backup he saw, from October. (I hadn't deleted *that* many bookmarks between those two times, plus I had continued adding more, so I have no idea why the October file was so much smaller. Also, incidentally, I have no idea why there were no backups listed from the last one in July to the first one in October. I'm always actively adding and deleting bookmarks.) However, I made a ton of edits and additions to my bookmarks from July to October that I'd like to at least be able to access. I know I probably can't merge them with my current ones, but I'd at least like to be able to add them to what I have. I assume that if I could import these, they would appear in a separate folder, right? Thanks!

First of all, thank you for your help you brought me long time ago reading yours answers concerning different others issues. Today, I didn't find the answer to my issue in the historic base of questions/answers...Maybe, I also missed the answer... anyway...

My problem is the following: I have habits to use the unicode shortcut every day (exemple : ä <--> alt+132) but this is not possible if the "Bookmark Toolbar Shortcuts" add-ons of firefox is active because I suppose there inteference with bookmarks shorcut that I also use a lot. So, I have to disable every time the add-ons, which is a boring operation... I tried to modify the shorcut of the "bookmark toolbar shorcut" add-ons but, Firefox send me "you can't override firefox shorcut"....

Does someone find a solution to this problem ?
