HELP!!

Every time I open Firefox Bing comes up. How can I get rid of Bing completely and forever? I hate it ! I don't want it!

I've tried going through add-ons, I've tried deleting all of the Bing files that I can find.

Few days ago, some of our clients and few (not all) internal PC are get stucked on a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR on our website. Only on 117 windows version (118 developer version and 119 nightly seems ok). We tried to repair firefox, it works on 95% but we can't ask our client to do this. It works on Chrome & Edge.

We running out of ideas : - we only accept TLS 1.2 / 1.3 - checking CSP - Both IIS and Apache are not working - Firewall are not blocking

What is the solution to the following problem? PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

This issue has been reported many times. It has been occurring quite frequently, to the point where I've had to abandon Firefox and use a different browser.

Hi, how do I enable notification web sites pop-up message from the corner of my windows taskbar ie; from my screenshot? I want to switch 100% away from Chrome but this one feature I can't figure out how to enable from web sites like Twitter/youtube/reddit/etc...

I have a list of clickable bookmarks that normally displays in the left side panel. It's currently missing. If I click on 'Other bookmarks' it appears to the right but is not pinned and doesn't seem pinnable. How do I get it back to displaying in the left side panel all the time as before? Clicking on 'Bookmarks Toolbar' or 'Bookmarks Menu' doesn't bring it up. I don't see any other options in the side panel nor do I see anything relevant under 'Bookmarks' in the top ribbon menu......? I use Firefox on a PC to access Facebook (website, not app). This week the Messenger/Chat feature stopped working. I click the icon and it opens but nothing appears in the box, it just hangs. There is an option to open in its own window, but that also is blank - no past messages, no contact names, no ability to start new message. When I log onto Facebook in Edge, Messenger works fine in Facebook.

I've tried everything I found on the internet for this issue - updated and refreshed Firefox, cleared history/cache/cookies/site data, uninstalled and reinstalled Messenger, refreshed Facebook to initial settings, used Firefox in troubleshooting mode, reset everything, turned off browser, turned off my computer, used shift key to reload tab - nothing has worked. There are some instructions about stuck cookies, but I didn't understand them so I didn't try that one thing. I've gone into every menu I can find to try to figure out this issue, which isn't the end of the world, but I would appreciate some other ideas for what is suddenly causing this. Because now I have to redo all of my settings and preferences and logins and the problem still isn't fixed.

I got a notice that Firefox (and Thunderbird) were updated this morning. Took me an HOUR to find out how to make the miniscule font in my inbox larger. So.. suddenly, new problem.

When I click the Firefox icon to launch the browser, and reopen my tabs, It opens for a millisecond, then closes faster than I can try to read if there is an error. When I click it AGAIN, all my tabs are GONE and I have to search for them manually, which is a royal pain.

Why is this happening? How can I stop it from happening? This is annoying as hell.

I'm having a problem with Win 11 that will likely require that I reinstall the OS. I decided to move most of the data in my User folder by right clicking and changing the drive from "C:" to "E:" in the Locations tab. Firefox was closed as a I did this, it worked fine, and then I restarted the PC. Upon opening Firefox none of the extensions are working and I'm not sure what to do.

In windows 10, I got used to opening a new window in FF and then a "tab" for the new window would open in the taskbar. I could then switch between windows by clicking on these tabs on the taskbar. In windows 11, I can click on the FF icon in the taskbar and open a new window, but a tab for that new window no longer appears on the taskbar. Instead of the previous tabs on the taskbar for each new/open window, there is nothing. I have tried the suggestion, found in another thread, to use about:config to change to false the setting browser.taskbar.previews.enable, but there was no difference. Does someone know another approach, or is this a windows 11 "feature"?

When i go to google.com and enter search query the tab "hangs" for about 10 seconds before the next page starts to load Same issue on 2 separate machines (1 intel laptop, 1 amd pc) both on newly installed windows 11 pro

what i've tried: safe mode, disabling hardware acceleration, disabling antivirus (kaspersky, without any browser plugins or safe browsing) , but the issue persists

I don't know why, but since today firefox keeps reloading all my tabs I have open every couple of minutes. It happens on both my desktop and laptop and its getting annoying. I also disabled the auto refresh in config, along with clearing the cache. I uninstall the plugins that I installed last week, and still happens.

Firefox 117.0 Windows 10

When using Google search the screen locks and the cpu goes high. After approx 45 seconds the results are displayed. This does not happen using DuckDuckGo as the search engine. Google search is fine in Pale Moon and Edge. I have attached screen prints of the Firefox screen (the connection circle is constantly rotating during the 45 seconds) and a screen shot of Task Manager. This has only started happening since updating to 117 yesterday.

I'm trying to connect to my Schneider XWPro Gateway for access to my solar inverter, and security policy on Firefox no longer't allows access. I can access using Safari by explicitly allowing access. Error from Firefox is as follows:

An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.120. You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert.

Your error message states there is a problem with a certificate conflict, however there is no apparent way to tell which certificate is causing the conflict, so there is nothing I can do about it. This is a new problem, I have been able to access this device in the past.

Any suggestions?

I saw no difference when enabled.

When i go to open a PDF file with Firefox, the text renders incorrectly (see image) for most PDF files, but not all (i'm not sure why. And this only happens with the Flatpak version of Firefox [1]. It doesn't happen with Firefox ESR (DEB version from my distribution) [2] and it doesn't happen if i view the same PDF file with pdf.js in a non-Firefox Flatpak app (GNOME Web) [3].

I've tried reinstalling and tried starting in troubleshoot mode, but neither seemed to fix the issue.

I occasionally use a site (www.zoomcare.com) which does not work properly with Firefox (I've been using Microsoft Edge (Windows 10) to access it). The problem comes when I try to login. I enter my username and password, and that brings up a blank page that does not redirect to anything, so I'm stuck.

Just out of curiousity, I was looking through Advanced Settings, and found security.csp.enableNavigateTo. It has been set to false, but when I set it to true, I am able to successfully login (I still go to the blank page, but after a brief pause, I'm redirected to a logged-in page).

I'd like to know something about the security implications of enabling this property. Is it a bad idea? (Not knowing, I've set it back to false and will continue to use Edge for now).

There was no such problem before, after the 117 update, the CSS theme I use is constantly reset and the browser returns to its default theme. The screen goes black for a moment and then the theme resets or the browser crashes. Is there anyone who has experienced the same problem? Any possible solutions?

Hello, After the last update (September 2023), I've been having issues with in-game ads being blocked, even with exceptions added and Advanced Tracking options turned off.

I got them to work for a couple of days, but now they're being blocked again. I've cleared cache & cookies, restarted Firefox, reset permissions, all have not helped.

Please advise!
