I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I'm a writer who relies heavily on instant access to Dictionary by Merriam-Webster. I recently got a new laptop and the dictionary will not load. It eventually will load but in a truncated looking format that is not useful. It works fine if I use Microsoft Explorer. I have cleared my cache but it still will not load and I have no trouble with anything else. This is super inconvenient. Is there some setting for Dictionary I'm missing?

I signed in to my account on my desktop today just as I have for years. I was asked to verify it was me. You sent me a code. I could not figure out where I was supposed to enter that code. I saw no instructions where to type it in and I could not see any space to enter the code into. Now I am locked out. I have been on firefox for years. I am 76 years old now, a recent stroke victim, and this is very confusing to me. Can you make this simpler? Please explain where I need to type in the code you send and let me try again. Please reply. This is stressing me up. It all started today when I tried to add this account to a new iphone my kids got for me. I have only used android phones on my firefox account. I won't try to add firefox to the iphone again. iphones seem to be complicated enough as it is. I can use it on Microsoft I hope. but I still need firefox to continue working on my android desktop. Firefox has all my passwords for other apps stored on it. As well as the saved favorite websites I have placed on there over the years. Many, Many of them. I am used to having the firefox saved password function to quickly log me in to those applications . I have a prolem with my firefox browser since about 3 weeks. So I hope somebody around here can help me with that. Somehow it occurred that HTML5 videos need very long to load. Sometimes it even shows me the message that I should restart the browser. I really cant find the problem. I have the newest version: 109.0.1 (64-Bit) I deletet the cache. I also didnt install any Plugins or addons. Since the problem occured.

I tried other Browsers on my Computer and it works just fine. By the way I also have a pretty new Computer, the specs are fine.

The only thing I didnt try, is to reinstall Firefox. Because i have a couple of tasks opened which I dont want to lose or put in booksmarks. But that also cant be the problem. Because I always had around 10-20 tasks opened in the past.

I hope somebody can help me or had the same problem and knows how to fix it.

I urgently need the bookmarks from my old firefox account. I have the same email address but have forgotten the password to my old firefox account, I also don't have a recovery key.

Is there any way for me to recover those bookmarks without having them deleted by reseting the password??

I would like to report on a problem I found today.

First of all, the symptom is "Unable to log in at Evernote.com".

To be precise, if you try to log in using a normal ID/PW on Evernote.com, it will respond as if the PW is incorrect.

However, since I checked the ID/PW several times, I determined that there was no problem, and as a result of trying the following combinations, I determined that it was a problem with Firefox for Desktop.

(1) Desktop , Using Firefox -> Can't Login. (2) Desktop , Using Microsoft Edge -> OK (3) Desktop , Using Google Chrome -> OK (4) Android , Using Firefox for Mobile -> OK (4-1) Android , Using Firefox For Mobile (Desktop Mode) -> OK (5) Android , Using Google Chrome -> OK

In the same experiment as above, each version is as follows.

Desktop Firefox: 109.0.1 Mobile Firefox: 109.1.1

My guess is that Firefox's anti-tracking privacy part has a problem with the evernote.com site at some point.

Turning off Privacy Tracking Prevention does not solve the problem. If there are other users reading this article and have an Evernote.com account, please try logging in.

For now, I'm using a different browser, but I hope it works out normally.

So Amazon audible popped up a firefox session with a talking book after I shutdown. So firefox saved this session to restore next time.

I shut down firefox while I:

1. I understand the file sessionstore.jsonlz4 in session store is a backup of the old tabs. So I saved it

2. I then copied it to the sessionstore folder under the profile. (I only have one folder under the profile folder so it must be the correct target). As a precaution, I also copied the file and renamed it previous.jsonlz4 and recovery.jsonlz4

But I cant get firefox to load it. Firefox stubbornly loads the tabs i just used and then creates new files called previous.jsonlz4 and recovery.jsonlz4 which overwrites my backed up files

So my question is how do I make firefox use the backup file I saved?

Every time I open this browser it opens to the size of a notepad. I want it to open to the full size of my desktop computer screen. I can not find an option to instruct the browser to do this. I also have to hit on the full size icon 2x in order to get it to increase.

I don't know why but sync button is not appearing in my Firefox settings (image attached). I guess it's because something I've done in settings that has cause this to disappear. Can you help me? Thanks!!

Question 2,  How do I use Firefox Monitor to change my Firefox account primary email address to an email that is already in use, by me, used for an older version of Firefox on a previous computer that is no longer in service? 

This is what I've done. In Monitor, I clicked on the link that says "Change Primary Email Address." It goes to a nice instruction page. I click Menu lines, go to Manage Account, I try to add the email as a secondary, so that I can then make it my primary. I click save. However, I get a pretty red error message that tells me "Account already exists." Of course it does. It's my account. I'm on a less than a year old PC, which came with Windows 11 already loaded. I'm on Firefox version 109.0.1, 64-bit. I've used Firefox on laptops for years. I'm very comfortable using regedit. Thanks. Lakshmi

I installed Firefox a few years ago. Microsoft still makes updates and I cannot delete it. Most recently two features have been added that I am trying t delete. 1. Tabs (for lack of a better word) appear on the left side of the screen. There are suggestions for other search terms. I don't need help. 2. As I read through a list of items found in my search one item will popup on the right side, sometimes preventing me from reading my list. I have tried to change my Block setting. I would like them removed.

After entering my userid and password, my bnak responds with:

We don't recognize this device

It looks like you're using a new device, or you changed its settings. Before you sign in, we need to confirm it's you.

This happens on many sites. How do I stop it?

I'm trying to sync on my new laptop running windows 11. Firefox says my password is not correct but it is. My desktop that I use most often is running windows 10(can't upgrade to 11). Help!

I can't get a email with the code for this new 11 windows pc. Driving me nuts. I was trying to see and look to see if they block some companies to send a email. Not sure y u need the code anyways. We all know windows lies and hates any company like this one. They give enough warnings to the b s. Please try a email me with a code to get around this trash from windows. I can't figure this out. Making me mad. I only use this browser for tons of years. This code thing was a bad idea.
