Hello; so, my brother lend me his old laptop, clean. I signed in firefox with my account and explore normally. One day, he need it back a couple days so he can work while he repairs his main machine. Log off of my account and log on in his. Now my bookmarks, historial, loggins, etc appear in his session. We think that can not be possible with separate accounts with different associated e-mail and passwords, but here we are.

There is a way to separate my things from his account? It only happens to him, i don't have in my browser his data. Thanks

i imported Firefox bookmarks to Firefox on another user account and i am not getting thumbnails! Both on bookmark's bar and inside bookmark browser :/

Wishing to view my own html file in my Ubuntu Linux system I pressed the Alt key which I thought would give me a "File" menu. I could not see one. How do I get it?

We use primarily Thunderbird and Firefox (latest versions). Everything works normally except a site from Constant Contact (that tracks when a customer/client opens or clicks on an email. We normally use uBlock and the problem occurs with and without that extension installed. I'm stumped. Thanks for any helpful you can provide.

I have no idea how I got into incognito mode and I have not found a solution on getting back out. My main problem is that I am locked into an incognito mode keyboard which I find close to unreadable.

I maintain a website that I update on a regular basis. For the past month, none of the updates have shown up in Firefox. I've refreshed the page, cleared the cache, logged out and logged back in. Nothing has helped. With other browsers, there's no problem -- Chrome, Opera and Safari all show the website updates as soon as I post them. I'm using Firefox 122.0.1 (64-bit) on MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (MacBook Pro 14-inch 2023). The website uses WordPress, hosted by DreamHost. I have two other WordPress websites, both hosted by WordPress, and Firefox is showing updates with no problem. I'm querying DreamHost on this as well, but I suspect they'll must say it's a Firefox problem.

Hi, I am trying to install an add-on for MetaCert. I receive the following from Firefox: "Check This by MetaCert by MetaCert". This does not help to install the add-on. This is not a problem on my other PC. Look forward to your help/suggestions. Best, Stephen Rodgers

All of a sudden when I open a link from an email it opens on Edge instead of Firefox, even though Firefox is my default browser. Can you please tell me where I can change the automatic setting? Thank you, Maria

I feel this can only be corrected by an adjustment to the version, am on 122.0.1 as the latest update. My O/S Linux Mint Mate v20.0.3. Have NOT been to any schooling or even just a class for any training, all done as my curiosity has driven me to learn on my own, Self-taught and have been working with CPU`s for over 35 years, I am 84...

Getting to this point has been a rather long drawn-out process that has been a bit confusing hope this info is acceptable.

Videos (with the exception of those on YouTube) have no sound, and in some cases such as Amazon or Plex, fail to play at all. Amazon directs me to plugins, and to select 'Always Activate' on Widevine Content Decryption, and to update plugins. This was already the case and had no effect. Plex, in some cases, simply gives the error: 's4032 (Manifest)', though this could be a different issue. Other videos on Plex have the same problem of no sound. This problem doesn't occur on other browsers like Chrome or Edge.

Before, when I started to write an address, firefox did not remember and I have to write it. That was fine. Now, it remembers everything and everything is kept in the history despite I close the private and open it again. Any other person can open the private again and see the last thing you were doing. No real private browsing, no fun

I used to love Firefox. For years, Firefox has been my primary & exclusive browser. But, in the last 6 months or so, Firefox is CONSTANTLY & CONSISTENTLY freezing on me. Here is the guaranteed & predictable pattern: Everything is working well for an hour or so and then suddenly, for no rhyme or reason, the program freezes. I close the program (because it's not responding, so says the error message) and I immediately reopen Firefox and things are fine for another hour or two...and then it happens again & again & again & again!

It just happened again while I was in the middle of an important work project & I AM SICK OF IT. I loved Firefox so much, I have spent hours & hours, over many weeks and months, reading about the problem and trying ALL the recommended fixes--to no avail. NOTHING has worked. Don't ask if I tried this or that because the answer is yes, I tried it. And it is happening to me on multiple computers. (I use two computers simultaneously, a brand new Windows 11 and an older Windows 10 computer.) It's getting to the point that I am starting to use Chrome more and more because I can use Chrome (or any other browser such as Edge or Maxthon) without problem or incident. But old habits are hard to break and I keep returning to Firefox (being the fool I am) & because I have Firefox tweaked to my specifications especially with passwords, etc. I have very reluctantly and unhappily removed many add-ons thinking one of them might be the problem. But, as I said, nothing has worked. And yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, turned off hardware acceleration, did your registry tweaks, bla, bla, bla.

I am writing mainly to vent. Because I have tried ALL THE FIXES without success, I have no confidence that you can solve what appears to be a common problem. But, of course, if you think you can help me, give it a whirl. Otherwise, I need to dump Firefox for good. Thank you letting me share.

As of today every time I open a FF window it has a sidebar for history. I do not store history and need to stop this. I do not want to close it i want to disable this annoying new function or I need to delete FF and choose a different browser.

‘I can't receive outlook mail today using Firefox. I receive message header but when I open it there's no message data. It works fine in Chrome. I can't forward a message it fails to connect to the server. When I try to delete messages it doesn't remove the item. Any suggestions?

There is an error occurring on the payment page.

"Verification of this link failed due to an error" when selecting a hyperlink. I then select "Skip verification" and the link is made.

This happens on all hyperlinks. Has been happening for at least 6 months.

I was able to customize my new window to display www.google.com however I only have the option to select "Firefox" or "Blank" for new tabs. I would also like new tabs to open to www.google.com. How can I do this?

I am no tech expert.....I have not Idea of the problem..I have used these email programs for years with no problems for years. Any help would be greatfuly appriciated.
