I tried to log in to my Firefox getting started page which used to just load. It now appears to need a log in which I try to do using my Gmail credentials. The password comes up as being incorrect which I know is not the case. If I try to change it I get as far as a Gmail code being sent to my account but when I enter that it says that is incorrect. I have not been able to load the getting started page since.

i recently lost some data i want to get back, and this may be my last attempt, but is it by any chance stored here? and if it is, how do i transfer it back to my regular cache/cookies/data/bookmark folders

I'm about to give up on Firefox.

While Firefox is the browser of my choice, its bugs are a constant source of frustration. When navigating on YouTube, I'll suddenly have it stop loading properly and just load more or less blank. You can see this in the image attached. To rectify this problem, I'll need to quit Firefox completely and run a cleaner (WiseCleaner, in my instance) so that it loads correctly again. This happens across several computers I have.

As I game, I usually dual-monitor to watch things on YouTube or Twitch simultaneously. When watching Twitch with Firefox, I noticed that the video would stutter or freeze while the audio continued. I checked Task Manager and found CPU usage to be extremely high. I cannot recreate this problem now as my second monitor is in the repair shop.

Firefox is one of the only few alternatives to a Chromium-based browser. As I don't like Google policies on ad-blockers, tracking, and so on, I'd like to stay away from anything Chromium-based. But it's becoming increasingly difficult to do so, as the user experience in Firefox is so bad, especially when using YouTube, one of my main browsing activities.

I tried turning off hardware acceleration, but this did nothing. I've reinstalled Firefox, but as this happens across several unconnected browsers, I cannot think this is a local problem. What to do?

Some years ago I had to replace my PC and thought - Wonderful - just use sync to bring back all my tabs etc into the new PC...

The long and the short of it (in the past), was that Firefox decided that the new PC was the one to be synchronising source, and promptly removed all the apps/tabs etc. so sync was in line with the new PC - erasing all the app data. I understand there is no 'Master' sync account.

The question is, how can I stop Firefox initially migrating the Firefox app data in the wrong direction? I know that the app/tab data is currently still correct as my laptop still has all my apps etc. Is there some way to stop Firefox thinking the latest clean browser on the new PC has the correct (None) apps etc? Has the laptop to be logged-in and currently on-line before starting the new PC with Firefox? Is there a process to follow with a new 'un-synced' PC?

Sorry if I'm making things sound difficult, but don't want to loose everything which is currently correct and still these within sync data. It's maybe something that can't happen in these later versions of Firefox, but I want to be sure before logging in my new 'Blank' PC.

I downloaded the new update this morning and I cannot separate my categories any longer on my home page. I keep them in categories on the 4 separate rows and then separate them by skipping a square. I cannot do that any longer and do not like the jumble of the homepage now. How can I keep the blank spaces that are located at the bottom of the rows to separate my categories?

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! Thank you!

Please help. I have always been able to access Google Images when using my Firefox browser. Now I only get a limited few. For example if I am searching for images of Cedar Waxwings (a bird) I only see a limited amount of images and the word "Store" keeps showing up. Please tell me how to restore my otherwise satisfying experience of access all IMAGES. Thanks.

When I view my bank statement in Firefox, everything appears fine, but when I print the statement, all occurrences of boldfce "S" on the printout are blank. This problem does not occur with Google. Running macOS Catalina, all maintenance applied, Firefox is at 125.0.3.

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. My name is Grey, and I'm experiencing an issue using Firefox as a browser to open my Outlook mail. For the past three days I have not been able to open any emails as a network error screen appears. Using other devices and other browsers like Edge, the emails open fine, so it is not actually a network issue. This problem only occurs using Firefox, and specifically with Outlook emails. Everything else functions fine and I have not made any changes, besides the regular Firefox update. My computer is also up to date.

What can I do about this issue? I appreciate the advice,

Recently a popup notification came up when I opened firefox on my mac. Its been awhile since I opened it and without thinking I clicked : o ~ Now I worry if it'ss ledgit? Does Firefox give a popup box in top right corner when it needs an update? I wasn't on any strange website or anything but I'm always concerned and dont remember seeing that before.

My firefox now says its up to date after it restarted ~ it's running 125.0.3

Any advise is appreciated.

Ok-So this popup window popped up when I returned to Firefox. I don't think it's legit and I am wondering how I go about blocking it permanently. I searched the settings but didn't see where I could post the URL so that is why I am posting this here.

I am on a Mac running Sonoma.

To check my icloud email, I log into icloud.com, enter my password, got through a two step authorization process and ask to stay signed in. I successfully access my email messages. When opening a message that has a hyperlink, I lose the iclolud connection. The link opens in a new browser window, but when i return to the email I am frequently signed out. Apple support does not know what the issue is; they suggested a different browser. This does not seem to happen with Microsoft Edge - and I don't want to use it.

Recently firefox stopped filling in my credit card information. 1. On a website asking for a credit card click on the credit card number box. 2. Choose the car from the popup. 3. Popup disappears but nothing is filled in on the website form. 4. Use Google Pay or PayPal to purchase.

This used to work.

New tab opens to blank page and not my home page, which is Google. I have been to setting and went to the drop down box for tab settings but it only gives me an option to make firefox my home page or a blank page. I want Google to be what appears in my new tab when I click on the little + isgn.

I am trying to add custom search engines to Firefox. I have tried the steps given in the forum thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212596.

However when I try to go and add the search engine as per the article given above I do not get the option. Please see the attached screen shot for more details. I do not want to add an extension or a plugin, but just manually have the option of adding search engines.

i am currently at a loss.

I have set up Passkeys for my google accounts. Now i have completely reinstalled my current pc and now there is no QR code showing when trying to log in.

I have another laptop where it will start completely normal. I can switch between a hardwarekey and another system (to show qr code)

Can you help me with this? I cant seem to understand why it is working on my laptop but not on my desktop. I just cant switch to log on with another device, now it is not even giving me the option to log on with a hardware key.

I would appreciate help.

Every time I sign onto Firefox I get the attached message. I think that uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling "may" resolve the problem, but Firefox won't uninstall. I have tried four different ways and it won't uninstall. Can you help me an uninstall process?
