When choosing biometrics for 2-factor authentication, sometimes Firefox will only prompt for a physical hardware key, and Touch ID does not work. Support for built-in biometrics is inconsistent.

For reference, I am using Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 with an ARM processor.

I added the Save to Pocket (mini) extension to Firefox 125.0.2 today. When I look at the collection of articles I've saved to Pocket (I've been using Pocket for years) in the browser, I only see 8 articles. But when I open Pocket on my iPhone and iPad, the list of articles I've saved is much more longer (an estimate would be between 50 and 75 articles saved to Pocket). I haven't found any articles in Mozilla support to help me solve this. Thanks

Receiving this error: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.

My desktop app redirects user to a login screen on Firefox, and I want to automate it using Selenium. My current workflow: 1. Launch Selenium-controlled Firefox browser using GeckoDriver 2. Click on "Login" button on my desktop app. The desktop app launches the login screen on user's OS default browser using the default user profile (in which case I set in profiles.ini to the temp profile copy created by Selenium). 3. (ERROR) Popup on the above error is displayed

Code: import configparser import os

web_driver = selenium_webdriver.Firefox(executable_path='C:\\Users\\mnxl\\.wdm\\drivers\\geckodriver\\win64\\v0.34.0\\geckodriver') profile = web_driver.capabilities['moz:profile']

  1. Path to the Firefox profiles folder

profiles_path = os.path.expanduser(r'~\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox')

  1. Path to the profiles.ini file

profiles_ini_path = os.path.join(profiles_path, 'profiles.ini')

  1. Read the profiles.ini file

config = configparser.ConfigParser() config.read(profiles_ini_path)

  1. Find the section for the profile to set as default

for section in config.sections():

   if config.has_option(section, 'Path') and config.get(section, 'Path') == profile:
       # Set this profile as the default
       config.set(section, 'Default', '1')
   else:
       # Set all other profiles as not default
       config.set(section, 'Default', '0')
  1. Write the changes back to the profiles.ini file

with open(profiles_ini_path, 'w') as configfile:

   config.write(configfile)

I've recently had a little video window appear in the bottom right corner of my browser screen. I can't find any control link to eliminate it other than closing it manually every time it appears. Where did it come from and how do I get rid of it?

So far, the on;y way i can get rid of the items in Frequent is to right click and "Remove from this list" which is time consuming and annoying. How do I get rid of/stop this list from showing

Since the 2 APR 2024 FF update, Washington Post articles are not displaying fully. When opened, the article flashes the full version, then only displays the top photo and the first two paragraphs. When opened in EDGE, all articles open fully as expected. This issue is only occurring in FF.

Actions taken: Cleared cache, same result.

Please advise.

"The page isn’t redirecting properly"

Also on NBCwashington.com/weather the video doesn't play on Firefox but does on Microsoft Edge. I contacted NBC Washington local station and they can find no problem on their web page.

Message is: Media could not be loaded, either because server or network failed or because format is not supported.

IMO not a network issue......

When I use the puzzle icon to access my extensions, my view is completely different from the images provided in various posts. i do recall the screen shots that were posted as similar to earlier extension management methods used on my previous Firefox. There is no gear to the right of my extensions; i show an enable/disable switch and a 3 dot menu "..." remove/report/manage. I have attempted to reinstall both extensions without success. I have never had problems installing any of my previous extensions, so this has been interesting. firefox esr ?.. Current version is installed.

Why do i have a different extensions page than described, and is there a way to pin my extensions differently?
