For years, my Dell Latitude (Windows) laptop and devices connected to it via Bluetooth coexisted well. For this same time, I have used Firefox (latest version) only. The laptop connected to whatever Bluetooth device I was using and it worked when i used Firefox.

This changed about three months ago. According to my tech repairman, what has happened is that, although the (Windows) laptop connects with the Bluetooth devices, Firefox for some reason stopped allowing the Bluetooth signal to go through.

There has never been any notification from Firefox, never has been a way to edit a setting to allow Bluetooth to work, and no option(s) ever offered to allow Bluetooth to work.

Does anyone have a suggestion about fixing this; other than the obvious – use a different browser?

I used to have about 40 quick links, or bookmarks on my home page. I had pinned several. Others appeared according to how often I used them. The latest update deleted all but 3. I am very unhappy. How can I get rid of this update and bring back my quick links? I guess I will have to go back to Brave.

Firefox 147.0.2 (64-bit) on my Lenovo Yoga 7 Windows 11 Home has been randomly malfunctioning when i use the hover over tabs with the mouse to show what is in the tab (small image) Sometimes it just fails for several hours, other times it works fine on its own later that same day.

I have tried to find this inside the browser several times with trying to find this browser-tabs-card-Preview-enabled inside about:config But it doesn't seem to exist in this version and apparently you can't add a new rule inside the browser to solve it.

Google AI solutions search is outdated or the wrong version. My computer and browser are up to date. How do i fix this ? I don't want to uninstall it, lose my logins and the bookmarks if i am unable to sync my files after trying to reinstall the browser only to find out it has failed.

hello. my name is Andrew. im learning the language toki pona. great language! however, it does not currently have support in Unicode.

as a workaround to use this language online, people have been downloading a font called nasin nanpa, and adding it to firefox's font fallback system in the about:config settings, and using the fonts UCSUR characters, like these 󱥬, 󱥂​󱤴​󱤧​󱤑​󱦐󱤄󱤽󱤧󱤊󱥵󱦑.

[specifically, the font uses codepoints in the Private Use Area because the language's script is not yet in Unicode. ]

the changes are to these settings.

font.name-list.cursive.x-western font.name-list.monospace.x-western font.name-list.sans-serif.x-western font.name-list.serif.x-western

recently, this system has stopped working. this change breaks multiple websites, including many discord community's that used the font to talk online in toki pona!

it also presumably breaks other fallback scenarios. now im guessing that this has not been noticed as most fonts support every commonly used character, making this feature rather obscure. however i really would love this to be fixed, and so would the large toki pona community!

I am running Firefox 147 on a Windows 10 desktop PC. I am using DualSafe Password Manager. However, the 'Ask to save passwords' option is ticked in my Settings (see attached screenshot), and also greyed out so I can't alter it. Firefox keeps asking to save passwords for sites that I sign into. Can anyone suggest how I can fix this. To my way of thinking, if a thrid-party password manager is installed, Firefox should see this (it does) and automatically set itself to not ask.

Hello, Within the past hour, "Checking for Updates" keeps running. I thought checking "choose to install" would limit the numerous times this happens per day, but it hasn't.

I've been experiencing this for a couple weeks and it's getting worse. I'm not sure what's going on.

I'm running Windows 11 and the last FF Mozilla update was #147.01.

Please advise.

I have lost all bookmarks on a new laptop. Recently added C Cleaner and did a scan. That may have caused the problem. But, now I cannot recover the bookmarks, nor can I save new bookmarks. The version of Firefox on my android phone has the bookmarks. I can see them. But, I do not see a way to sync the devices and import the data to my laptop.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my request. I am a long-time user of Firefox, but recently I have encountered a series of bugs.

1. Initially, I couldn't access GitHub. On the same computer, Edge works fine, but Firefox fails to load the page. Sometimes, the page content loads in Firefox, but the layout is completely messed up, leading me to suspect that CSS files are not loading.

2. I uninstalled Firefox, deleted the profile, and performed a complete reinstallation. This time, I couldn’t even open the Firefox account login page, receiving the error `SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_READ`.

3. Following online advice, I set `security.tls.version.max` to 3, but the issue persisted. The error changed to `SSL_ERROR_RX_MALFORMED_SERVER_HELLO`. When checking the certificate, the common name was `n.sni-347-default.ssl.fastly.net`.

4. Suspecting an issue with the system or browser certificates, I deleted all self-signed certificates and self-signed CAs (such as Fiddler and Accesser) from the system, but I still cannot access the site.

Please tell me, how should I go about solving this problem?

With the new profile manager your have to choose a Profile that you have to open on system start. That is okay, but I often change between two main profiles, "Homelab" and Personal. That means if I close Firefox and open it again it defaults to open in the last profile use. When I get an idea, I like to start researching and testing before i get side tracked

Is there a way to specify to open a link in a particular profile, like with Edge you would do something like: "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Firefox.lnk" -profile-directory="Profile 2"

Thing I have tried:

• "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Firefox.lnk" -profile-directory="Profile 2"
• C:\Users\%USER\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\vlfrd90t.default

Any assistance would be appreciated.

how do i get rid of this folder (recent bookmarks) and who thought this [edited] was needed?

Hi, all experienced peoples are here I got strange issue with firefox lately. my site sometimes https://avsogirl.net/ not loads at all, just shows “server not found” look at the image.

i first thought maybe server down, but i checked with curl and ping, server responds fine. also tested same site in chrome and edge, loads normal there, no error. i tried clearing cache, disabling addons, even fresh profile. still same. only firefox gives this dns error.

i use dns-over-https in firefox, and i also have proxy config for work. maybe firefox handling dns/proxy different? when i switch off doh, sometimes page loads, sometimes not. so looks like firefox network stack problem, not site issue. anyone else facing same error?

When I restarted my Windows 10 computer, the activity bar and all my history disappeared.

It was working perfectly this morning.

Any ideas?

This is the second computer in the last two weeks that has done this to me.

The title says it all. I use Firefox on my home computer with Windows 10, and my work laptop using Windows 11. At home, URLs do not autocomplete when typing them in--settings are all on for this to work properly, and it used to work properly, but it does not work at all. At work, URLs complete just fine.
