After downloading the latest version of Fire Fox I cannot block email senders, delete email, or search thru my email account. I can't send a screen shot as nothing shows. There is no error message. It is just that I cannot use my Yahoo email account like I could before the download so I have had to use Chrome with my Yahoo email in order to function. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to fix things? Thank you.

Before today, my 1Password 8 password manager worked just fine with Firefox browser on Windows 11. I updated my Firefox browser to 106.0.1 (64 bits) today and all of a sudden my 1Password manager stopped filling in my usernames and passwords for me into my logins. How do I get this functionality back so my 1Password manager works with Firefox again? Is there some setting that I failed to update in Firefox? Thanks. MR

How to get rid of square tab named "firefox view" to "sync with other devices"?? This appeared after a firefox update a few days ago and purports to sync firefox with my "other devices" Right now it shows "33% completed". I do not have any other devices .... just my computer. This extra tab takes up room on the page and I just want to get rid of it but there is no apparent way to close it. I view this as an unwelcome intrusion on my Firefox browser --- How do I get rid of it?

Is there a toggle to turn off the purple theme in private windows? As an elderly person I find it hard to see things and it's quite irritating to say the least. This only started showing up in my Windows 10 and my linux systems in FF Version 106 and is also violating my preferences to have a totally blank page when a new private window is opened. Suggestions would be most appreciated.

On 10/16 I reported here a corrupt session file that broke Firefox. Finally resolved for the most part.

Firefox sync sessions?

Today, I launched Firefox 106, and all my pinned tabs were missing, on several differently customized profiles with the same session.

I reverted back to Firefox 105.03, and the pinned tabs on all those tested profiles reappeared.

Can somebody check this out? It may be a coincidence, but this is too close for comfort.

I have two audio devices for audio output (speakers) on my PC. One is for music and the other is a Jabra device for conferences. When using Google Meet, only one of the devices is available to me (the music speakers). What is strange is that when I am using Zoom or Teams both devices are available and selectable.

Echo cancellation would be better if I could use the Jabra device for Google Meet calls.

I am using Firefox / Windows 11 (Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621).

Thanks in advance!

I am trying to setup proxy server for Firefox 106.0 on my Windows 11 Laptop. I have Windows 11 setup to provide system proxy settings to a local intranet squid proxy server at port 3128 with a configuration file. With this setup both google chrome and Microsoft Edge find the proxy and correctly utilize it. when I use Firefox and watch the squid logs the proxy is bypassed when settings are set for "use system proxy settings, no proxy, automatic proxy configuration url" If i set to manual proxy configuration it works.

I DON"T WANT TO SYNC my devices. I just want to get rid of that icon. When I try to sign in it tells me it will send me a 6 digit code and I have to enter it in 5 mins. I never received the code. I don't care if I ever get the code. Please tell me how to get rid of the icon w/o going thru the process of the "tutorial" Thank you!

Hi community!

I have opened a few images I've found on a website in separate tabs through the right-click menu "open in new tab" command. After some time browsing the site, the webserver went away - the particulars are irrelevant, suffice to say that I can no longer connect to the images' origin host. I'm now trying to save the images I've already opened, and which Firefox has downloaded and is displaying in tabs, but am baffled that I cannot do that:

  • Firefox has definitely downloaded the image and it exists in its cache, either in memory or on disk. I can see each opened image in full resolution in its individual tab. The URL displayed in the location bar would download as a plain `image/jpeg` file, if the webserver were still available to me.
  • When I try to save the image, Firefox always insists on downloading a fresh copy. This happens regardless of the method used to save the image; I've tested File > Save Page As, context-menu > Save Image As, drag & drop into Windows Explorer.
  • The only way to "rescue" the image from Firefox is to copy the image to the clipboard, paste it into an image editor and save it under a new name. Needless to say, this is extremely cumbersome, loses any metadata associated with the image and is unlikely to create an accurate copy of the original image (recompression, missing color-space information, etc.).

Is there a way to make Firefox save the image-opened-in-a-tab to my computer, without asking the origin server for a more recent version? I just want what's already displayed on my screen...

P.S.: You can observe this behavior in a standard Firefox without any user-installed addons; it is not specific to Waterfox or any addon.

Every time I open the print option when in the calendar app in Thunderbird it wants to print only the current month. How do I tell it to print the previous month, or for that matter, any previous or subsequent month? Seems like it should be a pretty obvious thing to want to do but the app is as confusing as it can be!

I first realized an issue with downloading PDFs through the Firefox viewer - I cannot. The download button does nothing, there is no prompt, no popup, and no file downloaded. I have also tried to print to pdf, that also seems to fail.

Today I realized I also cannot attach any files to an email through Gmail in Firefox, which is now leading me to believe that the software is unable to interface with my files at all.

Things I've tried include: - Turning off popup blocker - Refreshing Firefox in the ->Help->More Troubleshooting Information Menu - Starting Firefox in safe mode - Reinstalling through snap

The only way I can currently download files is through wget, and the only way I can send attachments is by installing Google Chrome, which is kind of a last resort for me.

I am running Ubuntu 22.04, this is on Firefox 106.0, though it didn't work last update either.

Thanks for any help

Edit: I have been googling for answers but after posting this question a similar thread popped up, the solution is to install the following packages:

xdg-desktop-portal xdg-desktop-portal-gtk

Hi Today I updated Firefox to version 106.0 and I can't get rid of the "arrow button" from top right (screenshot attached - near the minimize button, I marked it). The function of this button is clear for me - tabs management. But I can manage my tabs without special button for it. I want to remove it. I tried right clicking on it, but the "remove from toolbar" option is unavailable. I tried to customize toolbar, but it won't work either (I can't take it from te toolbar).

How to remove this button?

Amazon Sign-in problem started on 10-15-22. Amazon does not accept my password and asks me if I would like to receive a text message for verification. There is no yes or no selection displayed. I select resend text and I am given a telephone number for Amazon customer service. I go thru a 15 minute security verification process and Amazon tells me if I do not answer any questions correctly, they will cancel my account. On the 2nd time I contacted Amazon, I was told to use Crome browser and not to use Firefox.

This problem happens with my personal computer (windows 10) only. My Android phone using the Amazon app works with no problems. I can also use Crome browser on my computer and Amazon works fine.

Any suggestions ? Thanks
