Okay, this is going to sound strange, but I am at a loss as to how to fix it. I use https://www.websudoku.com/. When I first attempt to go to that page I get a "Secure Connection Failed" message.

If I open Opera and go to the same page, it connects. However, I do not like how the page works in Opera. Now, if I leave the page up, then go back to Firefox and go to that page again, Firefox will connect and opens the page. If I close the page in Opera, Firefox will not open the page -- same error as before.

I tried flushing the cache. Just as a note, which I doubt will help, I have in the past opened the configuration page and made adjustments. That was ages ago and Firefox has updated multiple times since then.

Any suggestions? Thanks

I lost my tabs again today at start-up. I went to history & did "Open All In Tabs" for about 200 tabs...most of the important ones did not come back. I can't be doing this on a regular basis. You've spoiled me with the tabs staying on the browser every day. But, even though I've used Mozilla for years, I may have to find something else I can trust! This is twice now...I can't spend this kind of time trying to recover things (many of which I can't get to).

I can't delete certificate authentication solutions In the "certificate management" section, I see the "authentication solutions" tab for secure sites, but I accidentally selected the wrong certificate, and now I can't change it. The list is displayed only in the viewing mode, it is impossible to delete or change the solution. What can I do without deleting my profile? Use last version 108.0.2 (x64)

Hi!

Where does FF store automatically downloaded updates on windows 10? Seems like last time this was asked was during XP time: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/751464 thus this answer is no longer valid. I am looking for win 10 version of this answer.

Terry, thanks for writing me but I even have problems when I only use a couple tabs and I rarely use Facebook or Reddit. Yet even with limited use of Firefox it inevitably expands and expands using up more and more memory until I have to exit Firefox. Is there anything I can do to limit Firefox?

As of recent I've been having troubles with my Firefox browser. Out of nowhere it has started relentlessly purging my browser history to the point where nothing lasts more than a week now before getting deleted, and it is only getting worse. Prior to this Firefox would save data from over a year and simply just remove the oldest data in order to make room for the newest whenever necessary. That is no longer the case now.

I'm fairly certain that I haven't done anything to cause Firefox to do this, but I can't be sure. Looked in the settings and can't see anything that would cause this.

So my questions are: 1.) Can the history deleted be recovered? and 2.) Is it possible to get Firefox to stop purging my history on it's own so frequently?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Firefox lockup on Yahoo Mail and failed session restore

I am currently using a Yahoo Mail account and have been for years but recently when on the yahoo mail page I get a red notification tellimg me I'm not connected to the internet on the tab displaying Yahoo Mail.

All other open tabs are able to access the net with no problem.

The only way to clear the issue is to open task manager, select all user info whereupon I will see one or two entries under Firefox using massive amounts of memory, i.e most open windows will have between 4.000k and 10.000k allocated but the top two entries arranged under memory use will both be firefox showing around 13.000.000k and 1.500.000k but with no information to identify which tab in firefox is using that amount.

If you select the 13.000.000 and end process, it ends that entry and nothing happens, if you then end the 1.500.000 process it crashes firefox and every single tab and window closes.

Restart firefox and it will open with the session restore page, hit restore existing session and watch the pages reopen and one iteration will head for the 13.000.000 mark again and Yahoo will not load at all.

It usually takes one or two more crashes until the session restores and Yahoo Mail loads and opens as if nothing has happened.

Today however after 4 attempts I eventually got a cannot find server notice on the yahoo page so I hard reset my router and after manually diabling and re enabling my network adapter my computer re-established a newtwork connection but when I restarted Firefox again the restore session was greyed out and only the new session button was available.

In the new session it loaded Yahoo mail immediately and when I tried to see if I could manually restore the session using the top right menu button, there is no session restore information or button at all.

Go to the history tab and there are no closed tabs or windows ( both greyed out) but the recent history display and the history itself is showing all the previousl pages.

I searched online and found this link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1267353#:~:text=If%20your%20tabs%20disappeared%20and%20the%20previous%20session,3.%20Close%20Firefox%20Delete%20sessionstore.jsonlz4%20file%20More%20items but none of the information in it matches anything in my file system even though I too am still using Windows 7. This is the version in the update history Firefox 108.0.2 (20230104165113) Details Installed on: 6 January 2023 at 15:40:33 Status: The Update was successfully installed

Can anyone help with the why one particular tab in firefox keeps trying to monopolise memory use for itself and how to stop it, and whether there is any way to recover the previous session information as I can't find anythig remotely relating to it on my system at all:-(

Thanks

This all started when I got an email that was captioned: New sign in to Firefox Monitor.

Looking around I noticed that Firefox thought I was using Windows 10 instead of 11.

Many Thanks in advance. Best wishes!
