Firefox browser, v123.0.1, 64-bit. windows 10 Pro, 22H2.

Hello, this may not be a problem with Firefox itself at all, but I'd like to try to understand what the cause of the problem I and others are having.

I have Norton 360 installed, in this Windows 10 computer and like to use Firefox for internet browsing, it has always served me well.

I also have Norton Safe Search integrated/add-on to Firefox. This puts a red, green, or gray check mark at the end of each link that comes up during a search and has always worked before.

Recently, I've noticed that such check marks do not appear at all when doing a search with Firefox, but they are present when I do searches with MS Edge.

I am searching for a solution here, and also in the Norton Community. There are others there who have stated they are having the same problem.

Has anyone here heard of this before, would you have any suggestion as to what may be causing the lack of the Norton Safe Search check marks in Firefox searches?

Any input/suggestions would be welcome.

I just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?

I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of error (unless it tries to connect for too long like a couple of minutes, then the error does shows up). The site still sends me notificarions through the browser though. Any other site loads up without a problem. I tried to use methods mentioned in the help article (turned off proxy, turned on network.dns.disableIPv6, deleted cookies and cache). In other browsers (Edge, for example) reddit.com loads just fine. Please help me if you can.

When photos, videos, or websites are linked on a FB comment, it used to display a thumbnail preview below the comment. Now it just shows the link. On mobile, the preview appears. So I'm thinking a setting got changed on the desktop version.

Does anyone know what the issue is and how to correct?

Simple: Will there ever be more than four shortcuts within Firefox Focus for Android? This is the only limiting factor I don't understand. I love this browser for everything else it does better than the standard Firefox, but this is the limiting factor... I would understand if the screen would be full, but it is not. A 4x6 matrix, maybe adjustable in the options how much, fits perfectly on probably all mobiles. The "put shortcuts on mobile desktop" is not a solution, that is already full enough as it is.

I am unable to copy text and paste from body of email in Thunderbird. I was able to in past versions. When I right click after highlighting text all options appear but does NOT allow to copy anything.

For some time now, I've been experiencing the following issues with PiP:

• The floating window opens in a random (and annoying) place and does not place itself automatically on the lower right corner as it used to (where I always move it, so it has no memory as it used to)
• It's impossible to keep the "always on top" mode on by default, and I have to do it every single time
• When I toggle windows, the PiP window is always the next one, even when it was not the one I switched from, and I have to always toggle twice for switching between two windows when I have a 3rd PiP window
• When I change language using the keyboard shortcut, it changes the language on the PiP window, and I have to use the language icon bar. Then, the PiP window becomes activated, and I have to toggle back to the window I was working on before (on which I wanted to change language). I have the "separate languages for separate windows" option activated.

It's been some months now, and all those things were working before an update but never came back...

Does anyone know if there's a way of fixing these issues? I've tried things I found online but nothing seems to work.

I've been noticing apparent duplicate messages within my unified folders inbox on my desktop recently.

Looking further I notice that one of my accounts has 'INBOX' as one of its subfolders which is where the problem appears to stem from. When I look at that account in isolation (ie not in unified folders) I can still see the inbox as a subfolder.

The subfolder 'INBOX' appears to be a duplicate of the account's main inbox (it contains the same number of emails), which may account for the appearance of duplicates.

At a guess this is probably related to inadvertent moving of folders. I find that when trying to use the scroll bar (to scroll down the subfolder list), if the mouse strays slightly to the left it will pick up a subfolder and move it unintentionally. This can cause all sorts of problems with disappearing emails and the folder structures showing differently on different computers.

In this case the duplicate email problem only happens on my desktop. On my laptop I can still see a subfolder named 'INBOX' but it shows as empty and I don't see the duplicate emails in unified folders.

It would be really useful if Mozilla could introduce a 'confirm folder move' feature as that would eradicate inadvertent moves.

How do I resolve the apparent duplicate emails on my desktop? I am somewhat reticent to delete the subfolder 'INBOX' for fear of the potential consequences. . .

I have seen numerous posts on this forum involving the "Leave Messages on Server" option in the server portion of the Account settings. Many of these posts include responders stating that this option does not apply to POP servers.

If this is correct, why does Thunderbird even include this setting for an account that is explicitly designated as a POP server/account? This is an invitation to confusion and misunderstanding; I have been a victim of this. It seems to me to be a no-brainer to change the code to remove this option from these POP accounts.

Recently, I reported a glitch with e-mail messages from you. The text of the messages was darkened either completely or almost to the point of being unreadable--actually, backgrounded--always at least partially covered by a pop-up telling about the trackers that were derailed by the DuckDuckGo browser. Since then, I have made a discovery: The problem occurs when using Apple's iPhone Mail app, but not at all when using Microsoft's iPhone Outlook app. It should be noted that e-mails from you go to my Microsoft (Outlook.com) account. I have a 2019 Macbook Pro 16" and whenever I share a FireFox window on facetime, I'm unable to stop sharing it until I end the Facetime call. Even then, the sharing screen notification still appears in the top right in the menu bar and I'm unable to share my screen for future Facetime calls unless I restart my laptop (thus removing the problem). Is this a known issue, and is there a way to fix it other than restarting my laptop?

I've been trying to connect to discord for a while, left it on for 2 hours and hasnt loaded. when i opened the console log, all it said was "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://gateway.discord.gg/?encoding=json&v=9&compress=zlib-stream" all over. Please help.

i am currently at a loss.

I have set up Passkeys for my google accounts. Now i have completely reinstalled my current pc and now there is no QR code showing when trying to log in.

I have another laptop where it will start completely normal. I can switch between a hardwarekey and another system (to show qr code)

Can you help me with this? I cant seem to understand why it is working on my laptop but not on my desktop. I just cant switch to log on with another device, now it is not even giving me the option to log on with a hardware key.

I would appreciate help.

New tab opens to blank page and not my home page, which is Google. I have been to setting and went to the drop down box for tab settings but it only gives me an option to make firefox my home page or a blank page. I want Google to be what appears in my new tab when I click on the little + isgn.

I am trying to add custom search engines to Firefox. I have tried the steps given in the forum thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212596.

However when I try to go and add the search engine as per the article given above I do not get the option. Please see the attached screen shot for more details. I do not want to add an extension or a plugin, but just manually have the option of adding search engines.

is too slow.

tooooooooo slow. I waited 36.6s until http response for every new URL open! Of course, I am using a lot of Firefox extensions, but there were no serious problems outside of YouTube, and the same problem occurred after removing the extension, and i also confirmed that the problem caused by web extensions on waterfall(on firefox profiler) was minor.

I can't even guess the cause of the problem, so unfortunately there seems to be no additional information that I can give you. I'll keep following up as long as I can. I will attach some pictures that might help you solve the problem. and you can also approach to my full-recorded firefox profiler data
