When attempting to load a number of different web pages such as Quickbooks Online Apps, the page displays "Loading Apps..." with a spinning wheel, but never redirects to the Apps page; the site hangs forever. On other browsers there are no issues; it eventually switches to the correct page. In Firefox Browser I have tried adding exceptions in Settings --> Privacy & Security --> Manage Exceptions. No change. Thoughts?

I want to change the line spacing in my emails to single line including paragraph spacing. Advice given in previous posts says to select Menu then Options. I have clicked on the 3 bar Menu icon and Options is not there. I clicked on Tools in the Menu Bar and Options is not there either. I apparently have to get to Composition, but cannot find a way of getting there.

My mail is hosted on Hostpresto. Yesterday 'someone' (it wasn't me. I was in bed) gained access to my cPanel and email and deleted my only email address, then installed their own. All my mail gone. I was stupid though - I opened another email address with the same name as the old one and started Thunderbird on the pc. Of course, it synchronised to the empty folders!

Luckily I have another instance of TB running on another machine and it's all there - I am not internet connected there!

How do I bring the folders containing all the old mail from the 'safe' machine's appdata/roaming/thunderbird location to what will be my 'working machine' without it immediately synching to the server and deleting it all?

I use google as my default firefox home page on my HP laptop. recently a second tab opens at the same time. "how to set the home page" --I've tried closing it and restarting the laptop, but it continues to pop up every time I open firefox as a 2nd tab. I am/was happy with my homepage opening to google. How can I get rid of this second tab. thanks

Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly

Old computer: Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit Thunderbird 115.10.0 32-bit (Don't know why it's 32-bit version on a 64-bit computer or whether that's relevant)

The Profiles folder is here (with 5 profiles): C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles

The new computer is Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit I just installed Thunderbird (V115.10.0 (64-bit) on the new computer.

On the new computer, the Profiles folder is here: C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles

I basically took the Profiles folder that came with the Thunderbird installation, renamed it (Profiles.orig) and copied in the Profiles folder from the old computer in its place. When I start up Thunderbird, I get this error message:

           Your Thunderbird profile cannon be loaded.  It may be missing or inaccessible

What am I doing wrong? I've updated Thunderbird on the old computer and copied the Profiles folder over to the new computer again. Same result.

Could it be 1. an issue with the user name on the old computer is different than the one I'm using on the new computer? 2. All files on the new computer are set up as local (the user on the old computer started out as a Microsoft user but I made it local so as not to have to use OneDrive).

I'm stumped. Any help will be very much appreciated. If you need any more details I'm happy to provide them.

I have the latest FF browser. I'm not using any proxy service, just spectrum connection. when i try to access my credit union account, i get this message

"Error: "WWF2TUh4dnM=" - You're using an outdated browser or are using a Proxy service which is unsupported. Please update your browser or turn off your Proxy to continue, thank you."

how can i get past this? All help appreciated!

I upgraded to Thunderbird 115.10.0 (x64) earlier today and now the program is no longer closing completely (I've tried using the X at the top right of the window, and I've also tried File menu -> Exit). I first discovered this when I was using CCleaner to clean my temporary items and it asked me if I wanted to close Thunderbird after I had already closed it. I then checked my running processes and there are three Thunderbird processes that remain after the program has supposedy closed (Task Manager screenshot attached).

Any help with this seemingly new bug is greatly appreciated!

Since the latest upgrade to 115.10.1 (64-bit) I have an issue about running Thunderbird.

From a clean Windows 11 start up it is OK but then if I then Exit and then try to run the bird again it does not start.

Digging around I discovered using Task Manager, a number of Thunderbird processes run after I had Exited. See attached.

Any thoughts?

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

Hi, I am running Thunderbird v. 115.9.0 on Windows 10 on my desktop. I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. I am migrating to a new phone. WhatsApp offered firefox as an option for storing its passkey. That took me to the connection and synchronisation process which the new phone said had failed. However all my tabs and other passwords appear to be syncing. Now selecting firefox to store the WhatsApp passkey takes me back to the failure page every time. Any idea how to restart the passkey addition to firefox process? WhatsApp won't work whilst I'm hung up in limbo between the two apps.

i just got firefox setup just as i want so dont want to reset it. yes i have used arkenfox to beef up pivacy.

only problem is i assume fingerprint disabling has made the window size like tor browser.

is there a way via the shortcut to "c:\mozilla\firefox\firefox.exe" -height 1024 -width 1600

does not work

does not work

how do i fix this? using this method? as i would prefer to do this way

alternatively prefs.js / is there a way to do it there?

Does Mozilla Firefox for Android have plug-ins?

I have:

125.0 (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0

Video on Facebook plays without sound. The video plays, I see the image normally, but no sound. Video on Youtube works perfectly.

Fresh install without addons or plugins. Switching to "Troubleshoot mode" does not change anything. Youtube with sound, Facebook without sound.

Any ideas where to look?

I'm testing different Debian 12 on multiple VMs, it came to my surprise to see that my VPN hash I used on a website the day before was saved by Firefox on the new VM.

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?

1. Numbered list item Logins & Passwords ? note: The hash was not a login but a form. If Firefox saves all the form, you should explicitly rename Logins by any forms/inputs.
2. Numbered list item History? note: I hope this is only URLs.

If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?
