I am trying to download a large file. Am on a course, and the main tutor has given the group a file to download. Have tried downloading this 5 times, but get little luck. The file that I would want to download is 8.5GB, and the furthest I get is about 4GB.

I have 2 questions about this.

1) I seem to have a very 'in and out internet connection. It seems to go down at times for no reason, cutting off the download. Is there anything I could do about this? How could I troubleshoot this, please? 2) Does anybody know of any special tools that I can use to download in a more efficient manner, please? Perhaps an extension for Firefox might be able to do this, perhaps? Kind Regards to Anyone Answering this Query, Marek

After having tried to learn to love Supernova for several months, I cannot. In fact, I have come to loathe, despise and detest its user interface. Are there settings in Views that will give me the old look and feel? Is there a skin I can download. If I cannot I will leave TB after decades of use even if I have to go back to (shudder) Outlook.

Can't Activate Thunderbird

Moving Thunderbird to a new computer

After messing with it for about 8 hours I got it resolved*** I'm moving thunderbird to a new computer. So far I've created a new profile on a the new computer's… (funda kabanzi)

So far I've created a new profile on a the new computer's G: drive and the program is also installed in a different folder on the G: Drive. (I'm planning to have two copies of Thunderbird on the computer). The other copy for different mailboxes will be on the C: Drive. I copied the profile from the old computer to the new computer's G: Drive in a separate location. When I open Thunderbird it lists all my email accounts in the moved profile but when I go into the inboxes they are all blank. I noticed if I left click on the inbox and go to properties it's showing the inbox location as the F: drive (which is where it was on the old computer) for example mailbox:///F:/Thunderbird/Profiles/......... I don't see a way to edit the inbox location. How can I change that so it's looking for the mailboxes on the G: Drive instead of the F: Drive? The path is also a little different between the two computers. The old computer was: F:/Thunderbird/Profiles/........ and the new computer is G:/Thunderbird Data/Profiles/.........


Also I don't know if this makes any difference...On the old computer a 32 bit version of Thunderbird was running even though it is a 64 bit computer. The new computer is running the 64 bit version. They are both updated to the latest Thunderbird release.

I've been waiting patiently for you all to include mac desktop versions and I was so delighted to find you'd finally done it! I'm still very happy because I LOVE thunderbird but for the first time ever, I can't make it work right. I know the problem is on my end but I can't seem to fix it. I am switching over from Airmail to Thunderbird and the transition has been horrible which is why I was leaving Airmail to begin with. So now I've entered all my info and it seems I successfully migrated the accounts. Unfortunately, it appears that the folder problems followed over to Thunderbird. Some of my 'airmail specific folders' are showing up in Thunderbird and it won't let me delete them. Also, the inbox seems mapped funny ... there's the regular trash can but deleted messages don't go to that folder, they go to inbox.trash - but whyyyyy?

This is the message I just sent to airmail: I'm having the worst trouble with the folders and inbox. I reformatted my computer - iMac Desktop (2017) Sonoma 14.1.2 and everything went fine except with airmail. All my folders for my primary account are gone. The whole folder system seems corrupted or something. I'd like to be able to start over fresh but I can't seem to do that no matter how hard I try. I'm currently running the beta version (bc the regular app stopped working a loooong time ago) and it's a disaster. I currently have one icloud (hschulienlcsw@icloud.com with an alias of heatherschulien@icloud.com) account, private domain accounts (heather@heatherschulien.com and junky@heatherschulien.com) and one gmail account that is forwarded to the junky account. My icloud folders seemed to stay intact but not my others. When I tried to migrate to a new app, it brought with it all the folder problems from airmail. It appears the main problem is with the main account: heather@heatherschulien.com.

Also, how do you add 'alias' emails? Also having trouble setting up the calendars... nothing is working like it's supposed to :(

I'm dying, please help me :)

I have a large number of subfolders in my @gmail.com/All Mail. Using version 102 and all previous versions for many years with few problems. I have tried to update to SuperNova a couple of times. It takes my All Mail folder and divides it into two identical 'Archives/@gmail.com/All Mail' folders and half of my subfolders are in one of them and the others are in the second one. There is no rhyme or reason as to which ones it decides to seperate as far as I can tell. It makes it time consuming and inconvenient to find what i want, especially as it now runs off the page despite choosing Compact view. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

This seems to be an known issue.

I deinstalled my Firefox and it created autmatically Desktop\Firefox\old data

I want to transfer my old data (esp. for my PW+Logins) and it goes nowhere

I found the files keys4 and login, copied to my actual Folder (after reinstalling). But it doesnt do anything.

I also copied the whole "old data" Folder to the new directory and overwrote it. Didn't help either.

Is there any way to get my old Logins/PW from this old data Folder or is it just a wast of time ?

To all a happy holiday season. It's time for another rousing rendition of an oldie, but goody! "Unable to login in at server. Probably wrong configuration,username or password."! Windows 11 version. So I utilize 3 different gmail account addresses. Accounts 1 & 2 loaded up fine. Account 3 has the exact display name, gmail address, and YES, the correct password. I have checked this on gmail from my windows 11 laptop, and my android email app which used Firefox as the browser to get to Google. Soooo...I know, right, it's been posted and somewhat answered here a zillion times. However it's never straightforward on whether its a corrected reply. NOTHING, and I mean, I've looked in every nook and cranny, uninstalled Tbird, reloaded. Cleared everything, cache, registry, tickets to see Taylor S. Nothing works. Yes, I checked for upgrades. Rebooted. Stepped away from computer, watched Seahawks win win win. Came back to computer. Still...nothing magically changed (you know that sometimes airing-it-out does work). Can anyone help here? I had a huge problem with M Outlook. In addition it has locked me out of my Office 365 package and I'm not getting help or support. Luckily I had backup completed before the problem. I changed to Thunderbird (using pop3), which I find very good. The back up is approx 8 GB but with many duplicates which I need to clean up. When I click import it seems to limit the file size to 2 GB. How can I import this backup file into Thunderbird to enable me to access the emails, clean up the many many duplicates and reduce the size? I await help, Thanks in advance

I have an android. Google play hasn't worked in forever. No great loss except when you hit the button to send a download it takes you to Google play. It used to give you the link and installs it. Silly me I deleted Firefox to clear space just for a short time until I got the new sandisk over a year later I still can't get the link. Why do we have to go through Google play? Never had to do it before, it's okay if your looking for something but if you know what you need and the website why oh why oh why make you go somewhere else. It's sillyness.lol Anyway. Where can I get the link without using Google play.....and I had techs walking me through it first days trying to fix it when office 365 stopped working when I was in college. No one could fix the Google or the 365
