Even though my settings is set for "always ask ..", in the latest Firefox versions all files are automatically saved to "Downloads" on my hard drive. Could you please rectify this error?

I refreshed Firefox and all my passwords disapeared even though it stated they would be saved. I followed online instructions and copied and pasted the old data into the new profile. Although I can see the old login data is there nothing shows up in the saved passwords section in settings. HELP! all my passwords are badly required as I have no other record.

Just recently I am getting blocked on web sites I have used many times. In the last 2 days I have been blocked on www.lowes.com and www.autotrader.com. WHY......how do I undo this....these are not the only ones but just the most recent.

I am using Thunderbird 91.9.1. I have imported several calendars from my google account which works really well. What does not work well is trying to import/show my google tasks, they simply appear nowhere. How I tried to import them: Calendar -> New Calendar... -> On the Network -> Entering my google account at Username -> after logging in, only my google calendars are shown, not the tasks.

What am I missing? Thanks!

Hi, I'm using Thunderbird chat with XMPP and Openfire as XMPP server. My only problem is that I can't transfer file on chat window. However, I can easily send files on other XMPP client such as Pidgin or AstraChat.

So, my question is, does Thunderbird chat support file transfer ?

Hello. I have deleted all messages from one email (sent and received). The problem is, when I type the email in search system, there is still one (sent) message but it's invisible and I can't find it in any folder. How can I delete that one message? For further details, ask me here.

I'm using Thunderbird 91.9.1 on Ubuntu. I have other issues going on that make me decide to just reinstall the OS. I want to back up Thunderbird and I already know how to do so by copying the relevant profile folder in .thunderbird. However, I have been dealing with the Inbox "A unique identity matching the from address was not found" bug. For others looking for that error, it does seem to be a known bug, using Ctrl-o to open the email is a workaround. This does not affect any other folders. Using the Repair Folder option does not solve the issue.

So what I want to achieve is to export everything except the Inbox itself. What I'd like to know is the best way to achieve this.

Is it better to create a new profile after the reinstall and just copy everything except inbox and inbox.msf from the existing profile or to copy the entire old profile over, set the new install to use that old profile and then copy the inbox and inbox.msf files from the default profile created during the install?

I'm only seeing the first email in a conversation if I look in the email inbox. I can see the conversation in the search results if I search for a string contained within the email. But if I just look at my emails in the inbox it looks like I never replied to the email and that she never replied to my reply.

gmail page initially loads in firefox and then doesn't get updated at all. Upon trying to refresh it just gets stuck at Google workspace initialization section. After that under new tab, google.com also doesn't work. Please fix this.

I can't find links and tabs which I send from my PC's Firefox to android's Firefox. I have two devices synced. One is my PC another is my android. So, where do those sent tabs and links appear on the phone? I checked the tabs but didn't find any sent tabs or links.

1. Youtube videos are not loading correctly in firefox android in full screen mode, only 3/4 of the video gets displayed rest gets hided. 2. Rotation of the screen while watching video based on gyroscope can be made.

Hey! I think to migrate from Vivaldi but only couple of things stops me. I used to split some tabs in one screen there and looks like I can't find any good addons for that. There is one addon Tile Tabs WE but it is not what I need, I want to tabs be still along other tabs, I can detach them and place on my screen by myself without such addons but that's uncomfortable to use.

This button has never worked for me. If I want to manually check for emails, I have to use the down arrow beside it and select one of my two email addresses. Do I need to check a box somewhere in both account settings to tell Thunderbird to use the control?

Ever since last update, Thunderbird has not worked. Runs out of time, to download new messages, won't let me delete messages. Thinks for a long time. Uninstalled program and then reinstalled . No change. Not sure what is going on.

Can some of you share experiences you've had using thunderbird with office 365? I may migrate a small business' email to office 365. I know 365 + thunderbird is possible as long as imap is enabled and that wouldn't be an issue. Mainly I would like to know how smooth it has gone for those that have tried it. I don't think the people at this org use the calendar feature of thunderbird. They would need email and contacts. I've used thunderbird + gmail many times and that combination works well.
