Firefox 103.0 - 64bit; Windows 10. Since Monday, I have been unable to download anything. The download starts and after a couple of seconds reports "Failed". I have tried starting in safe mode and it still fails. I've done a refresh to no effect. I also have another machine which has the same Firefox version and a copy of the profile but still runs Windows 7. No problem with that one....

Anyone got any ideas?

1. i have firefox on my pc, now i installed it on my laptop 2. synced to my account on laptop 3. the internet went out halfway through the syncing process (only 3 addons or so installed and then it got stuck) so i closed my laptop and forgot about it 4. i opened firefox on my PC and the account synced 5. the addon bar flashed and all the addons except for 3 are now deleted (they are NOT disabled, they are completely gone from the addons page)

I don't remember the name of every addon i had installed but I need them back.

I reset my PC and reinstalled Firefox last month, but my bookmarks were never recovered after I logged in my Firefox account. A couple of months ago I installed Firefox on another PC (to which I no longer have access) and it showed all the synced bookmarks, but this time it doesn't. What should I do? Thank you

As a Teacher I load SCORM modules into Canvas. Up to last May they all worked just fine. School just started and I'm now finding my SCORM modules will not open with Firefox. If I use Chrome they work just fine. I have refreshed Firefox and also gone into troubleshooting mode. They still won't load. They do load when played directly from my hard drive. I can't help that some security feature in a newer version of Firefox is blocking this.

Since i have my new laptop, i do not get twitter videos, bbc news working. Youtube and vimeo does work! Guess its about html5? Have checked mediasource and javascript settings in about:config and they are okay. Do not have this problem in brave browser.

Anyone has an answer?

Using Firefox 103.0 on a Mac running Monterey. Since updating to FF 100.0 or possibly 101.0, the BBC News website's videos won't play. I've tried turniing off all privacy/security add-ons and settings but still nothing. Just a grey rectangle with the BBC logo in it (see screenshot).

Safari can play them though. Any ideas?

Where ever I press my left click on any text the line that shows when pressing on an area for typing appears... It doesnt allow me to type but it is sooo annoying plus sometimes it prevents me from pressing on buttons of some websites.

After update of Firefox version 103.0.1 the symbols are too big and the size cannot be reduced (to small size). So too few symbols fit into a symbol line. How can this be fixed?

I've worked with Firefox for several years, and had it opening maximized. I recently manually resized the Firefox window to facilitate some work in which I needed some other windows visible. However, now I can't get Firefox to open maximized. Instead, it opens a window going from the left edge of my screen (see the first image below) about a third of the width of the monitor, and it is showing the double box icon in the upper right corner indicating that the computer "thinks" it is in full screen. If I click that double box, the window immediately shifts to the right edge of the screen, occupying a space about a third of the monitor from the right edge, and shows a single box in the upper right corner of the window. If I click that single box, the window finally does expand to full screen, showing a double box in the upper right corner. I've tried all the manipulations I've seen concerning starting screen size (such as going to the shortcut icon properties and indicating the that the program should start "maximized") but I'm still getting this same behavior. Any thoughts? (I'm running Windows 11, with the latest version of Firefox.)

Hi, all websites that have embedded tweets stopped working for me today. I simply see a box that says Loading tweet...

I have attached an image that shows the error. When I am in troubleshooting mode the error goes away and tweets load. the problem is i cant figure out why. Even when i disable all extensions and turn of troubleshooting the tweets stop loading again.

I developed a web app that checks the existing session login for each new page. So, after logging in the first time, the user is shown a dashboard with a list of functions they can access (My Account, etc). When an item is clicked and the application calls the function, it first checks for the existence of login session. If it's not there, then the user is forced back to login screen. However Firefox is deleting the session at some point so when the session is checked for the new function, the user is forced to login again. Chrome, Safari, Edge do not and are fine.

Enhanced tracking is turned off for the site and is shown as an exception. What is happening and how can prevent it?

After this latest Firefox install, my zoom percentages are wonky. They were set at 100% before but now I have to adjust them to around 70% for the same zoom effect, but that doesn't fix how much taller the tab space is and bookmark space relative to the previous version.

I opened Firefox this morning and suddenly my home screen was 4 or 5 times larger then when I shut down the night before. The zoom settings in the menu only affect the body of the home screen. I can not find how to reduce the size of the fonts being used in the ribbon.

After upgrading to Firefox version 103.0 on Windows 10 I am no longer able to Login to https://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login . After entering my User ID and Password I stay on the Login screen with the gear spinning for several minutes then receive the error screen shown in the attached image. Clicking on Try Again" on the error screen produces the same error. Please correct ASAP.

Note that the Login from https://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login completes successfully using the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers.

I've enabled 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' to delete the cookies and site data when I close Firefox, but I would like to add some exceptions (mostly mail site). Every time I add the exception through Manage Exceptions... button and then I close Firefox, when I restart Firefox, the exception is gone. Is this expected? I don't think so. If so, it's not clear in the UI, as the button is just next to the mentioned checkbox.

Firefox has my credit card information and it shows up in a window when I go to pay for something, but when I click on the credit card I want to pay with, it won't autofill. In Settings, the box to autofill is checked. This has worked a hundred times before, but stopped working a few months ago. Also, I've checked the 2 relevant items in about:config an they are enabled. How do I get the autofill to start working again?

Hi, I am trying to understand why my exceptions (blocked web sites) keep deleting and or when I delete cookies the exception are also removed? I apply several web sites to be always blocked, but every time I go back to add another or check. They have been removed. Also if I tick the delete cookies when closed. That also deletes the exceptions. Why would it do this?

Why on earth would I continue to re-enter the same several exceptions every time I open Firefox?

Am I missing something else in the settings? And yes I always click on save changes.

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. My web pages have increased in size on their own. I tried shrinking the font size a bit but it is not the font but the pages (borders, etc)....how do I get it back to normal and why did it do this?
