Suddenly my Firefox browser won't open popular websites, such as Schwab, Facebook and Wells Fargo. It displays an error message that the site uses Java, and that I need to enable javascript. When I check in Settings, javascript is already enabled. I tried restarting and reinstalling without success. When I use the Chrome browser the sites work normally.

how do I change the "from" and "subject" font appearance in thunderbird inbox list view? They are currently a little bizzare with the sender appearing smaller than the subject line etc. I am not familliar with .css file settings and so will need to be considered a simpleton with any explanations. Any aswers I have seen refer to fire fox and assume that I know how to create the changes required or add a .css file somewhere. Thanks in advance. I attach a screen shot of my current inbox view . i like firefox on my cell phone as well as on my pc, but i encounter a problem on my tablet. The screen is big enough that I could display my bookmarks bar permanently (as well as tabs). if I want to look up several things quickly, which would certainly be possible with my tablet with keyboard and mouse, I can't even do that because I can't open the bookmarks that quickly.

however, i can understand that this is not permanently implemented, but i would like to have a customization option via on/off in the settings and while we are on the subject, an option to switch tabs on/off like on the desktop like the page marker permanently on desktop mode would be really nice.

of course it could be that these options already exist, then it would be that i am too stupid to find them because i really couldn't imagine that they don't exist and have already rummaged through all the options.

COX has moved all their email accounts to Yahoo. They still have the same name such as xxxxx@cox.net. It was difficult to get everything working, and I almost succeeded. There is still a problem with SMTP and I have submitted a separate question in this forum.

All my Gmail accounts are in the unified folder. The Cox accounts used to be there, but no longer. I have tried multiple times to get them there, but they won't move. Both the Cox and Gmail use 0AUTH2 and SSL/TLS. I prefer to have all my email in the unified folder so I don't miss anything.

Been using Thunderbird/Lightning for many years. In the latest update (115.10.1 (64 bit)), the EDIT button is not initially visible when I click on an event in my Calendar. In past releases, this edit button has always been visible in the pop-up window when I try to edit info in a New Event task. This happens SOME of the time, but not all. Any idea what changed, and is it possible to check out the code and change it back so when I double-click on an event, I see the edit button. At this time (not a big deal, but slows me down), when I go to edit an event, I have to move to a different monitor, resize the pop-up window so I can see the EDIT button, then finally click on it to edit the Event. In the past, the cursor immediately went to the EDIT button. Any info on changing this back the old way would be appreciated.

I am posting this on my Mac Monterey; but the problem is on my Windows 10. It is similar to my last post about Firefox on that system. Updating is hanging. About Thunderbird shows an update available, just as that feature on Firefox did last week. However, though it indicates that it is attempting to download, it shows that nothing is downloading. So, there is a spinning icon on the left, but zero bytes downloading, just as Firefox did. After a restart last week Firefox applied the download. The same action occurs now with Thunderbird. To contrast, that same update just downloaded and applied on this Mac Monterey. The version on Windows 10 is 115.10.2, 64-Bit. There is a general Windows Update problem on that system. Edge, on the other hand, downloads its updates without any problem. I just ran a Troubleshooter that Windows makes available under Settings, Update and Security, Troubleshoot. Right now I am about to restart that computer.

I can't get smtp to work with multiple yahoo accounts. When I get the account settings window, it shows the correct smtp server for yahoo. (smtp.mail.yahoo.com) but when I click on the edit SMTP button, there is a section called "Security and Authentication" section with 3 lines

If I edit the SMTP on any of my cox accounts, it changes them all to the same user name. If I want to send mail from any cox account, I have to go to account settings first and edit the smtp and put in the correct account. This is very tedious.

I have noticed that my gmail accounts do the same thing, but gmail doesn't care. Here is the error I get when sending mail before going to account settings first to change the account.

I have been unable to receive the OTP I need to log in. My username and password work fine but then I try to get to the OTP, it doesn't show up on my email and the cell phone number is an old one. Please help. I have a lot of shopping to do.

Firefox is blocking website reader comment sections, yahoo, foxnews and so on. (version 126.0 64 bit). Windows 11. Comment section still found using chrome or edge. I would like to customize my New Tab page to show only the icons (shortcuts) I specify; I think it would help if I could change the size of the icons so fewer show, but I cannot find any setting to change the way the page looks. This is a new problem since I got a new computer with Windows 11. In Windows 10 and earlier Firefox versions, I could have only a handful of shortcuts that I wanted and it did not automatically add recently visited sites (I have not selected that option in the settings). I do not want to dismiss or delete shortcuts individually, but want a permanent solution.
