Hi Guys! Huge fan of Firefox since the early 2000s when I first learned about it. Way more secure, efficient, and lighter than any other browser (IE, Chrome, and now Edge). Firefox is my first download on every new device and my go to even on my iPad.

I've been getting this error message lately and I don't know what to make of it. My saved tabs are working normally (email, work, streaming entertainment). This automatically comes out on ever new start / re-start (Firefox is my default) on separate tab but I am not opening any new website. It's been 2-3 days. At first I didn't mind it but its consistently happening and not just a one time thing. I already cleared my cache data. I've also ran a scan and it's come up clean (I have a paid BitDefender subscription). It's also not the local ip of my machine.

So any help would be great as I really don't want to leak any personal data or have any viruses.

I uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox. I was able to recover my bookmarks, add-ons, and login information. But I do not know how to recover by pdf files. Are they gone for good?

When I try to download messages on one of several POP3 accounts I get the error message Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. and it keeps downloading the last message I received before the problem started.

I have tried repairing the folder, clearing cache and even turning off my anti-virus for Thunderbird but to no avail. No problems on my other accounts

Firefox's website appearance settings include a setting to force a light theme, force a dark theme, or to have sites automatically adapt to the theme of the browser. I feel that's not exactly what I want. I don't want the browser's theme to have anything to do with themes of the sites I'm viewing, nor to force light or dark. I think I'd rather just use the site's default, or if not that, set a theme on the site itself. Is there any way for Firefox to just not meddle in a site's theming at all?

I kinda just don't want any connection between the theme of my operating system, the theme of my browser, or either of those and the theme of websites, and none to force a theme on any of the others. I'm not sure why that seems so desirable nowadays, but I don't want it.

Using Thunderbird version 115.11.0 (64-bit) with Windows 7 OS and THREADING TURNED OFF.

When I receive a second reply to an email I've sent via one of my email service providers that uses an outlook365 server, my thunderbird view hides it beneath the first reply unless I manually intervene by clicking on the "greater than" sign associated with the first reply. When I do click on the first reply the greater than sign spins clockwise 90 degrees and the second reply appears below the first as if it were in a subdirectory.

The above behaviour is very inconvenient because I am prone to missing the second reply and have trouble anticipating its existence. Admittedly the unread second reply does change the first reply's text property to "bold" but I much prefer to see the new message without having to manually click on everything bold to check.

Another email service provider I use also has an Outlook365 server but second replies to emails are not hidden in its associated thunderbird inbox?

Can anything be done in thunderbird to stop this "feature" or is it absolutely fixed by service providers?

When emails are pulled, I can see that it pulls, let's say, 50 messages, the notification shows 25 new messages but the inbox only shows 10. I have looked everywhere for the "missing messages" but don't see them anywhere. I have also had some people tell me that they sent an email response (so they were not entering the email address) and I don't see it.

What could cause these differences?

Just a few days ago, one of my email accounts is unable to retrieve emails and it has the following error message:

I installed the latest updates but still having a problem on that one account. Other accounts I have on the same server has no problems retrieving the emails so it has nothing to do with "disk space". All settings in the accounts are identical except for the email address so it must have something to do with TBird itself. I know it's not the email server as I can log into those accounts using the browser on their website. Thanks!

My email for my domain (Gailfisher@Resourcesforchange.com) hosted by GoDaddy. Has been working correctly for years, but now when trying to send from TB, I get a message to enter password that does not work (it does work on my webhost's platform). Using Windows 10, TB version 115.11.0. BTW, I have another email via AOL that is working just fine on TB. I tried Safe mode -no go I tried following GoDaddy's instructions for IMAP but also did not work. FYI The GoDaddy help desk said: "Please match the server settings with the below server settings. Username Your email address Password Your email account's password Incoming servermail.[your domain name] Incoming ports IMAP - 143 POP - 110 Outgoing servermail.[your domain name] SMTP (outgoing) ports25 (587 or 80 might also work) IMAP use port 143" I tried setting up a new account in TB using email adddress and a new username, but that created the same problem. I found a file that has an IP address at the top of it. And the IP address is from China. recently my email address showed up on dark web. Do you think It could be connected. and is hack?

Hyperlinked text does not paste into Thunderbird email. Only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks do not. If I paste in text that has several hyperlinks already embedded only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks are lost. I must paste the hyperlinked text with the URLs. How do I do this. All searches are irrelevant. I know hot to insert URL into new text but that is not the issue. My text to be pasted already has many hyperlinks in the text and I do not want to laboriousness do them all again. When I paste in a paragraph of test that already has several hyperlinks I want that ALL to past in. How to I do this?

I'm having the same issue as previously posted below. I am on a Google pixel 7 pro.

"On youtube mobile site or a reddit video, when I click the bottom right button to fullscreen the video, a message pops up that says 'entering fullscreen mode' (with a firefox logo on the left of the message) and then firefox closes and I'm at my android home page

This seems to happen when I watch videos in a new instance. If I reopen firefox to the video and then try fullscreen again, it goes full screen no problem. So basically it's annoying and happens when I try to watch any video full screen for the first time.

Is this a known bug? Wasn't an issue on my old phone (I just got the galaxy s23). "

Some email clients allow the user to change the subject line on an incomng email. I had a client where I could edit the subject line and then store the email in another directory. Changing the subject line allowed for a better way to find the email later on as one can change the text to something understandable and easier to seach for. Can this be done in Thunderbird or is this for the wish list? Cheers Bob

I want Firefox as my only browser, and have disabled google. I have Firefox as my default browser, but yet still have google as the browser that I'm forced to use. I seem to have to go through the whole process to have one search that isn't taken over by Google. Any advise? Thanks.

I have installed the German language extension . I can go to a sight written in German and it translates fine . THE SECOND I USE ANY SUB MENU WITHIN THE SIGHT IT DOES NOT TRANSLATE . right clicking and "translate" does not work since "translate" does not exist on the tab .

The firefox translate feature only works on the initial screen !

I can find no setting to fix this
