I have been having trouble with FF for a long time now. I use other browsers too. But I was surprised about these recent problems. I know other people have been complaining about FF on other forums as well. I used it initially because it was recommended over IE but now it has become a big annoyance. Plus it crashes constantly, why can't this be fixed already? Thanks for any comments.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

in addition go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum.

thank you

Hi, I am sorry but I don't have that information. These crashes are all the same. It states: Oh how embarressing and then somethng else. It happens to my 3 computers on a regular basis. It took down my brand new Gateway computer, after I used Malywarebytes to scan it and it came up with two Pup's on Firefox. Now I can't get it now to work. I have to return it now.

This is not only a problem for me but to others as well. I googled this, so I am sure that Mozilla is aware of these crashes. Thank you anyway.

why don't you have that information - is the browser already crashing on startup, so you can't copy the crash ids from about:crashes?

in this case you could perform the following steps to gather the crash report IDs while firefox isn't running:

  1. Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
  2. In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
  3. From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
  4. Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
  5. Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
  6. Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.

The lastest crash is on my new computer and I can't get it to work. when I power it on, it automatically starts trying to fix the computer, going on now for 2 days and it is stuck in a loop. I need to fix it to remove my data so I can return it.

The other crashes happen randomly and i don't keep copies. I did uninstall FF on my business computer, for this reason, and now only ue Chrome.

Next time FF crashes, I will do as instructed, thanks for your time.
