Saving a PDF that is open in Firefox

After opening a PDF in Firefox, I want to save it on my computer. The problem is that the "save a copy" box, where you name the file, always opens in full-screen mode. I need the "save a copy" box to open smaller-- the same size as in most other applications -- so that I can see details about the PDF document that are needed for me to give the PDF an accurate name. I don't know how to change this. Or whether it is a Adobe problem or a Firefox problem (although in Adobe reader, the "save a copy" screen is much smaller).
