Help! My history has disappeared on both the Beta and the old version and it won't keep my history saved now.
So after I leave this page Firefox will not know that I've ever been to support.mozilla.com, nor does it know that I've ever been on Facebook, nor will it remember any long URLs that I count on it for. My history is gone and it won't keep track of my new history either. I'm not using Private Browsing. Also, Internet Explorer does not have the problem though I never really use Internet Explorer. (Both Firefox browsers have the problem.)

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
Be sure not to use the same profile folder with different Firefox versions because that is asking for problems.
If you have Firefox 4 beta and a Firefox 3.6.x version then you should use a separate profile for each version.

I have the same problem and only have one version of Firefox. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that will not fix it either. It keeps the pages in history for 5 or less and then they disappear. When I open the history, I can watch as those history entries began disappearing.
