I suspect I have found a pattern to crashes that doesn't fit under the usual headings. WinXP, Firefox 3.6.4 (but it happened with earlier versions too) Try this: - open a site - hibernate your computer - move to a different web domain (work to home, home to airport, whatever) - re-establish web connection - click a link.

This won't explain 100% of my strange crashes, but it sure seems highly correlated.
