undo "show remote content" in a message

Occasionally I select "show remote content" in a message and later regret it (after discovering trackers, etc.). I then would like to undo my previous selection of "show remote content" for that message, so that I can re-read the message in the future without again activating the remote content.

Many years ago, it was possible to do this through the Error Console using the following:

 top.opener.setMsgHdrPropertyAndReload("remoteContentPolicy", 0);

More recently, it was still possible to do this through the Error Console using the following:

 setMsgHdrPropertyAndReload("remoteContentPolicy", 0)

Now, in Thunderbird 115.5.0 (the current version for Linux Mint 20.3), this no longer works. An error is generated claiming that setMsgHdrPropertyAndReload is not defined.

How can I undo "show remote content" for a particular message in the new versions of Thunderbird?
