Complete lack of webpage loading
Sorry if this has already been addressed, the nature of the issue makes it very hard to search.
Firefox web access on my phone has been not working whatsoever for a few days now. The app opens, but no webpages load, including pages that were previously open in other tabs before the issue started. Instead of anything, there is just an empty grey screen with the bar at the top like usual. This also happens if I open any web URL in another app, like Discord or Gmail, and it tries to use my default browser (which is Firefox) to access it. Just straight greyness, no loading bar or anything. The issue isn't present in the default Samsung web browser, but honestly, I can't stand using anything other than Firefox, so even looking up help has had to wait until I could use my computer.
I've tried restarting my phone to no avail. I would like to try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but as far as I can tell there is no raw "copy a folder" way to back up my data for whatever reason, and when I tried backing up my data by creating a Firefox account for the first time and using sync... well, to do that, it tries to open a series of webpages. Which it can't do. So that was a dead end. And I would really like to avoid losing my tabs, bookmarks, and history if at all possible.
If I don't get an answer that works for me, I think I am going to enable developer access in my phone files and hook it up to my computer to try and force-backup my data, then uninstall and reinstall the app and see if that helps. Honestly, though, I'm really curious why this has happened and how I can prevent it in the future. Having my web browser suddenly just cease to function has been INCREDIBLY annoying.
Thank you for your time!

I updated to 114.2.0 as soon as I could and the issue is solved now. Odd, but done with! <3 Apologies though, if others with this issue don't find it solved after an update or don't have any updates available.

Hi
What is the full version number of Firefox for Android that you have installed on your Android device?

It came back. (was fixed after update and cache cleared) Firefox 114.2.0, Android 11, HONOR X7 CMA-LX1. build 4.2.0.290. Exact same issue, nothing loading, even on the Add-ons page. Came back yesterday with 22 tabs open.
Hi
Does switching between two tabs fix the problem?
Does switching to another app and then back to Firefox for Android fix the problem?
Do they have Android dark mode enabled?
I have exactly the same problem on my Android 12 Realme phone with Firefox 114.2.0. Started out of the blue one day. I tried to fix it and ended up unistalling Firefox and reinstalling. That worked OK for 4 or 5 days but now it has gone back to the same state. Obviously in the process of uninstalling I lost everything, so not best pleased.
The problem seems to happen whether I switch to an existing tab or open a new one. It seems to affect any URL which I use. What I have noticed is that the lock on the left of the address bar has a red line through it. I gather that is something to indicate an insecure connection. Screenshot attached.
Google Chrome works fine.

Hi
Thank you for your patience while we have been working to look into and resolve this issue.
Please look out for an update from the Google Play store for Firefox for Android version 115.0.1 that we believe should resolve the issue that you have been experiencing. If you see any further issues similar to this, please reply here and we can look into this further for you.
I've had this issue for years now too. No matter which version of Firefox and whether the add-ons are turned off or not. Sometimes Firefox just won't open/load some webpages. There's no workaround I could find besides waiting or using other browser. The problem randomly appears and goes away. Edit: See what Firefox looks like when the problem happens in the image attached. I've disabled all add-ons. Edit #2: this happened on my S10e and now on my new S23 as well.

I've had this problem for over a year, exactly what you describe, includding the crossed padlock. I've been an avid Firefox ambassador for years but I've had enough quite frankly. What's most frustrating is that posters tend to report back with this and that update has fixed the problem. No, the problem is still there.
Got the same thing. Seems to go away when force closing the app and starting it again sometimes, for me at least. But not always.
Only real thing I've tried on my Firefox install, apart from some add ons (which I've also tried disabling) is getting away from the new and seemingly forced start page.
I just want to start where I left off like I can with every other browser. I. E last tab. I've selected as much in settings, but still get the start page occasionally, and that's often when the trouble begins, so I don't know if that setting just doesn't work and/or the two are related.
Oh. And every time the start page pops up when I open Firefox it also sends me way the heck back to the first tab in the list when looking at all tabs, instead of showing me the actual tab I was at last. Super duper annoying.
I've had issues with the start page and this non-loading stuff now since I switched months and months back. Wanted to get away from chromium, and the experience is great when the browser works, so yeah, please fix, much love.
