URL autofill suddenly putting popular URLs (microsoft, pinterest, etc.) before my actual frequently-visited URLs

more options

I just opened up Firefox on Android today and suddenly when trying to use autofill to visit my typical sites, it's changed what pops up first to very popular sites (a good chunk of which I don't frequent); microsoft.com instead of marvelousnews.com, office.com instead of oafe.com, stackoverflow.com instead of seibertron.com, twitter.com instead of toyark.com, bing.com instead of brickset.com, etc. I tried looking in the Search settings to see if something had been clicked on that wasn't before, but I couldn't find any culprit that actually changed this.

Hi

If you open the Firefox for Android menu and select Settings and Search, you should be able turn off Search Suggestions.

Assuming your browsing history is still selected as a criteria, you should find search results from your history are more visible when you search in Firefox for Android.

I tried that initially, and it didn't seem to work. However, just now I opened Firefox on Android again and noticed it was saying "sign in to sync" instead of my account name, so it seems like the app just for some reason stopped syncing/being fully signed in, so i signed out and signed back in again and it's no longer doing it. Thanks for the advice anyway though.

No problem, thank you for letting us know.

Hmm, the problem seems to have cropped up again. I appear to still be fully signed in and synced, so that doesn't appear to have actually been the problem. Turning off Search Suggestions still is not solving it. Any more ideas?

This is realy one of the most annoying issues I ever had with Firefox.

What do I care about these websites and now they even have priority over genuin often used websites. What do I care as a Belgian about bestbuy. (BE. is often a used prefix in Belgium)

Please, just make it possible to disable the sugestion of websites we never used.

Not so kind regards
