Collapsable Container Groups

I always have a lot of tabs open and would like to be able to group things to deal with at the same time. The containers feature is ok for sorting, but it doesn't solve the big problem -- namely, that I still have a lot of tabs across the top of my screen and have to scroll through all of them (plus, I'm having issues with closing them and not being able to click on the 'x' on the tab to close them).

Is there a way to collapse a container so that you can see the overall grouping (e.g., Reference articles for X topic) but not see every single tab that is open within that container? I don't want to go down the bookmark path or I'm afraid I'll never circle back to what's there.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
