Hello, Mozilla Support!

I am using Firefox 79.0 Desktop app for Mac.

Today, I set a master password for my Saved Passwords, because I just found out that just anyone can open 'about:logins' and see my saved logins. So, I set a master password.

After setting the master password, I opened 'about:logins', and it didn't ask for the master password. I also tried going to Preferences > Privacy & Security > Saved Logins, and it didn't ask for the master password either.

Please fix this! Thanks in advance!

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Once you enter the master password to unlock Lockwise then you do not need to re-enter the MP if you close and reopen Lockwise. You can cancel a MP prompt to logout or logout via the Security Device Manager.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Certificates: Security Devices -> Software Security Device
    (you may have to zoom out the page if you do not see the right sidebar)

In Lockwise you need to enter the MP once if you click the View Password or Edit button, but you do not need to re-enter the MP unless you close and reopen Lockwise (about:logins).
