Yes, it should be possible in Firefox 79 (you have 78).

Note that Firefox 80 will also have a CSV import feature in LOckwise that is currently disabled in Beta/DE 80.
In Firefox 80 you can enable this CSV import feature by toggling this pref on the about:conffig page.

I know that my reply didn't address your question, but I posted this so you know (or other that read this) that it will be possible to import logins in the future should you ever need to do this.
Keep in mind that the logins aren't encrypted like in the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder and that you need to treat them as such.
