Running Firefox 76.0.1 on a MacBook Pro Running MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. Update to 76.0.1 happened 5/8/2020 5/10/2020 When I wanted to Reveal or Copy a password in Lockwise it gave me a pop-up asking for a password before it would reveal it From the research that I have done it appears to be asking for the system password but it is not accepting that. It is also not accepting my Firefox password

I have the same problem, but with a Windows 10 machine. Of note, at the top of the box in small letters it says 'Windows Security', but my windows passsword doesn't work either!

Me too. Never been asked for a password and username when looking for a password and never activated lockwise or were asked if I wanted to. I also see windows security too. WTF?? Windows 10. I wonder how many of us have to complain to get something done about this.

The second suggestion (in the above mentioned link) to edit the config page is helpful as a work around to set a Master Password so that Lockwise isn't looking to use the system password. This does not address the problem of Lockwise forcing the use of a system password - it just works around the problem.

On a hunch, I typed in the original system password from when this computer was set-up and it accepted that. SO - I'm not sure what file Lockwise is looking at for the system password but it is not the current file. It also doesn't address the problem that the Windows users who have never set a system password are having.

I'm not a fan of forced "Protections." Offered protections are wonderful but implementing them without giving users a choice is an overreach - not unlike forced vaccinations... but I digress.

I've finally got into the password problem. It is the computer system password it wants, nothing to do with Firefox at all. Needless to say it was so long since I used it that the only place I had it......was in Firefox. However, went through the 'forgotten password' rigmarole with Microsoft and reset it - but Lockwise still didn't want to know. It took a complete restart of my computer to finally get into the logins and passwords side of Firefox/Lockwise.

Hope this is of help.
