It feels very weird that Firefox has lockwise for iOS and Android, but when it comes to desktop you are left without any system implementation.

I believe there should be a Windows and a Linux version of lockwise for those who want ot use Firefox as their main password manager. Without that feature, it is hardly possible to consider Firefox as a main solution for password management.

I understand you don't see the option to sync or use Lockwise on your desktop? Firefox Lockwise is the built-in password manager in Firefox version 70 and above. It's based on the Lockwise add-on that's still available for older versions of Firefox. To use the Firefox Lockwise password manager please see our support documentation by clicking this sentence

This should give you the full functionality you expressed interest in for Firefox Desktop and Mobile password management.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else, Mansueli!

Yes, it is the builtin password manager on Firefox Desktop. However, it is still not an option for outside of the browser password managing cases.

Also your link points to example.com (not much helpful).

This is whether lockwise will feature as an standalone solution for computer OS.

I aplogize on misreading your original post. Thank you for the clarification!

The link has been updated, thank you for the feedback. We are updating our support articles and trying our best for you, so your input is invaluable.

The current focus for development is on Lockwise Mobile and Firefox Desktop integration.

However, I did speak with our developers and they expressed the same thoughts on an integrated password manager being the optimal solution. This thread and your question have also been noted.

I know that isn't a solution for your current request, Mansueli, but we are working hard to take what's important to our users and focus our resources there. So thank you for taking the time to post in general.

If there is any other resources or links you think would be helpful, please let me know.

Note that you need to install Firefox on a desktop device and connect it to a Firefox Account and sync the logins to be able to use Lockwise on a mobile device. With Lockwise on desktop Firefox you can also add a new login where this isn't possible with Lockwise on a mobile device that merely acts an interface to display logins stored in a Firefox Account.
