Firefox applying enterprise policies without policies.json file
After a recent update I noticed my firefox account stopped working and in the preferences page I started seeing the message that "Your browser is managed by you organization".
I did some research and found that these settings (identity.fxaccounts.enabled:false in about:config) are managed through a policies.json file found in /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/Resources/distribution in Mac. But there is no distribution folder in the above path.
The problem persists even after uninstalling and reinstalling firefox and refreshing profiles.
PS: My computer is not managed by an organization.

On Mac there is another way to apply policies via a plist file.
Could you tell me where this file resides and how to remove it? I could not find this info in the above links.
See:
- /questions/1255234 what file on a mac controls the group policy - json or plist file ?
Note that org.mozilla.firefox.plist stores a lot more info than just the policies, so you can't just remove this file.
User plist files are saved in ~/Library/Preferences/ System wide plist files are stored in /Library/Preferences/
