Firefox sync was working on all my devices as my logins and passwords were perfectly synced. The problem started when I was offered to install the Lockwise app on Android. Where logins were available in the Firefox for Android app they wouldn't sync with the Lockwise app, the syncing went in an infinite loop and did not sync anything. Reinstalling or rebooting did not help. From this moment Firefox for Android offered to fill in the passwords from the Lockwise app, but since there were no passwords synced, there were none to fill. So I decided to uninstall the Lockwise app and go back to Google Autofill service for my global Android password management. But in the Firefox for Android app (which I use the most) I still like to use the build-in Firefox Sync autofill feature like I used to before installing the Lockwise app. Firefox for Android does not offer to fill in any password information anymore. When I look in Tools > Logins all my passwords are there, perfectly synced.

After some research I checked if the following about:config booleans were enabled: and yes they were. signon.autofillForms signon.autofillForms.autocompleteOff signon.autofillForms.http

Firefox for Android version: 68.2.0

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Since I did not find reasonable solutions I started digging further into about:config

There I randomly set the following boolean to true and my problem was fixed! I think the Lockwise app had set it to false and not set the old setting back when uninstalling it. Something to fix for the developers.

dom.forms.autocomplete.formautofill true

I have a synching problem too, i installed firefox on android and my passwords I saved using the desktop version do not sync, I have same account on both, but I believe it is because the ones I save on the desktop are using LOCKWISE, which was the only option I found on desktop firefox, so I believed they would sync to my android, but they do not, so now I have to install lockwise in my phone too? pfff, I dont want another app just to sync passwords, I was under the impression that the browser had already that built in. it clearly has 2 tabs and one of them is logins and states that accounts you save in your firefox will be shown there in all devices, but apparently does nothing and I have to install lockwise for android? wtf
