What are the risks of copying the Firefox folder and using it on another computer without installing it?

I work in the IT department and I need to create an msi of Firefox. To date, we have been using InstallShield to "repackage" Firefox into an msi. This works fine for our purposes but it takes time to do and there are inherent risks with repackaging.

I have noticed that if I install FF onto a machine, then copy the "Mozilla Firefox" folder from Program Files and paste it onto a machine that doesn't have FF installed, FF launches and appears to function as expected.

My question, what are the risks (if any) of doing that? Is there any loss of browsing functionality?

Many thanks, Stephen M.
