I can't log into mozilla. It keeps saying it sent me a password and it didn't. Also I saw certificates from financial institutions in china and europe as well as some other certificate I don't think should be on there. Are they necesary? Can I take them off?

Firefox comes with some built-in root certificates that can be used to trust websites.

You can't remove a built-in root certificate. You can edit the trust bits of built-in root certificates and uncheck all trust bits to prevent Firefox from using the certificate as a root certificate if you really want to, but that isn't recommended.
