got upgraded to ff android 31 and saw that tools menu item 'save as pdf' had disappeared. manually downgraded to vn 30 and option was there. Therefore I presume disappearance was related to version upgrade - however I see no mention of this specific issue in firefox buglist or elsewhere

I guess this change makes sense. This user interface change was not, I believe, mentioned in the release notes (or anywhere else). Shouldn't a change like this be shown in release notes since it directly affects the end user - I'm sure I'm not the only one who was rather annoyed to find this useful option gone, without any (obvious) indication that where it had gone. Most people would just write this off as one of those bloody stupid developer changes where the user was the last one to find out what was going on. Not really what Firefox or Mozilla want to happen :-/

OK, as I said before, I understand the sense of this change, but.... In the future where a user experience issue is involved could an obvious comment be left in the release notes as to what the hell is going on.... Thanks for your response - frustration is not at you, but rather at the lack of thought for end-user reaction and notification. Also, Thanks to all those folks who function in a help role with Mozilla to keep tools like this working!!!

thanks for your feedback, rob.

imyself am just a normal user like you, so i cannot influence the process by which the release notes or other version specific documentation is created, but i will escalate your reply so that an employee from mozilla will take a look at it.
