I have the latest versions of firefox installed on both my iMac and my MacBook Air. Both computers running the same IOS. Both Firefox versions have exactly the same preference settings. The iMac gets an occasional 502 Bad Gateway notification and will not go to that website. The MacBook Air does not get these issues. Both computers are running the same anti-virus software.

This message started happening 3-4 weeks ago and is baffling as you cannot get to that webpage on the iMac but at the same time I get to it fine on the MacBook Air.

What is causing this issue??

I am using the current version of Firefox on Mac Os 13.1. When I try to copy a formatted text (e.g. from Pages to Google Docs in FF), the browser deletes all formatting. It is plain text again.

I don't have this problem with any other browser like Safari.

I have already tried troubleshoot mode and to refresh my profile. Unfortunately I still have the same problem.

When I download an attachment from Gmail, I would like to just download it. However, Firefox now opens the attachment in a new tab before I can download it. Is this new? Is there a way to turn this off?

Microsoft Excel is no longer listed i Applications as download option. All files downloaded automatically are stored as Microsoft Word files, not just excel files. I can change individual files manually to .xlsx which is a nuisance, but this also happens with Zip files (7Zip) and I am at a loss as to how to change them when they are downloaded as a Word document.

This does not happen on a newer MacBook Pro, but I need it to work with the older version. The older Mac is MacBook Pro 9.2 with MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.7 Firefox is version 103.0

Thought I should bring it to your attention. My default browser is Firefox and I use Earthlink as my email. Earthlink just informed me that Firefox no longer supports Earthlink. Hi all, I have an Adobe account and regularly use Adobe e-sign to send out contracts. I have recently updated Firefox and since then, when I try and send out PDFs for e-sign via Adobe Acrobat Reader, it doesn't get past the upload of the document stage. When I do it on the web browser, I can log in to my account fine, but as soon as I try and view the PDF I want to send for signature, it tells me that:

   Click on the Firefox menu.
   Select Preferences.
   Select the Privacy & Security panel.
   Select Standard to enable cookies.

I have followed all the above but it doesn't make any difference. I have also turned off Enhanced Tracking Protection for that site and it worked once, but then stopped working again.

I'm on a MacBook Pro.

I wanted to upgrade and update my Firefox to the latest version. Encountered some errors so I uninstalled the old version and reinstalled Firefox' latest version. Now all of a sudden all my Add-ons / Plugins / Extentions on the latest version of Firefox for Mac OS is gone...

I'm using firefox 97 on mac. Whenever I copy and paste an image from firefox, the image comes out desaturated as if it is using the wrong color profile. I tried changing the gfx.color_management settings without it improving. The images look fine and are the right colors in the browser, however, the issue only happens when I copy and paste images. Firefox behaves like the color management is disabled (set to 0 in config) but ONLY when copying and pasting images.

I do not have this issue with other browsers such as chrome.

Oops. I replaced my version of Firefox with the the newest version, but my OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 does not support it. Now I can't browse with Firefox. How may I get the compatible version back?

Previously to a mac OS upgrade to 11.6.1, the browser worked fine. Now, nothing loads even though all the other browsers work fine. Pages just display "Secure Connection Failed." I have gone through and executed the adjustments on the "Websites don't load - troubleshoot and fix error messages" page but it still does not work.

Problem: "Video cannot be played on your device as it does not meet content protection standards" Message when trying to stream videos but only on Amazon Prime.

I have searched the internet for an answer only to be told the problem lies in the browser. I find this confusing because a few months ago I was always watching Amazon Prime videos on Firefox browser. What has changed? How can I correct it? I have the latest Firefox update (108.0.1 64 bit) on my mac Book Pro, MacOS Ventura 13.1.

So, firstly Instagram stopped working on Firefox browser. I checked and installed latest update, cleared cookies and restarted, still not working. Now Squarespace is doing the same thing. I can't save anything on the site once I have made changes. I have followed Squaresapce trouble shooting with cache etc but this hasn't helped. I'm guessing it's somewhere in the settings but I am not great with computers! So if anyone can help I'd be VVV gratefull! Clare

lost synced tabs on phone from old imac. goal was to move all tabs on phone to new imac desktop. is this possible? Did I do it wrong? Is this a two way process? Hi, I am having issues while using my website howtowatchstreaming on Firefox, while it loads perfectly on Chrome and Edge. Despite the media files being perfectly optimized, some of them fail to load even after refreshing the page multiple times. Other websites seem to work fine. Any tips or ideas please.

Hello. I would like to use Firefox on my Mac, but my processor is a 2.7 GHZ Quad-core Intel i5 and I would want to download the Vidiq extension. I have checked the other system requirements and they are fine.

Will Firefox work with this processor? Would the Vidiq extension work ok?

When visiting sites such as the Russian Wikipedia, characters that are in the Cyrillic Times New Roman font display as blocks (shown in image). Safari does not have this problem.

I received an email suggesting that I update my Firefox or I would lose syncing function. I have two computers. A fairly new iMac Ventura 13.6.8 running Firefox 123.0 64 bit which it says is up to date. But I also have an older iMac OSX 10.11.6 El Capiten running Firefox 78.15.0 ESR. I can't update the OS or Firefox on the old computer. So if I do nothing - will I still be able to sync on the newer Mac. I'm not too worried about the old one - I don't use it much for browsing - more for documents. Thank you. David Rimell

Hoping someone can help me with this asap.

I was prompted to update firefox on my mac laptop.

So I did the update by clicking the button available at the top of the firefox browser, but now I can not open Firefox at all.

When I click on the firefox icon it does not open firefox and this message appears: You can't use this version of the application "Firefox with the version of OS X. You have OS X 10.11.6 . The application requires OS X 10.12 or later.

I understand what this means but not sure how to revert back to the previous version of firefox.

When installing the new update/version of firefox, i have deleted the old version of firefox.

Following the instructions above I went to: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ , but can not find the previous version of firefox that I need.

The only info I have on firefox is version 102.2.0. I am after the version before this as assume that is the one compatable with my laptop currently (i can not update the OS ).

Can you help me download the previous version so it is compatable with my mac laptop?

At some point, I have lost the ability to use "Command `" to toggle among open pages: those listed as available in the Windows menu.

Has this function been deleted? Can I restore it? Any assistance appreciated.
