At one time there was a userchrome patch which could be applied to obtain legacy-style square corners on the URL bar and the search bar. I can not get this to work despite trying several different suggestions and I suspect it may be related the the Proton redesign.

Can anyone suggest a userchrome mod to obtain the desired square corners?

After over a decade i am finally getting a new computer. It's in the mail. Any day now...

I wish to transfer my entire FF configuration to a new computer (when it arrives, up to 10 days from now-). Bookmarks, extensions, themes, look, feel, bells and whistles, all in one swoop.

I do have a sync account but i am honestly afraid to use it. I stopped syncing some time ago when i was trouble shooting and now i fear that if i turn sync on it might overwrite the configuration i am presently running with whatever was stored once some time ago.

Because i have done some colossally stupid things in the past that resulted in great data loss and many weeks of recovery, this time i think it best not to presume i will figure it out, but instead to ask you folks, the experts-

Firefox stopped working on my laptop after I uninstalled office365. I have reinstalled office, but firefox still not working. It is working on my phone and an old laptop. What are my options? Nothing happens wen I click on the 3 bars, history, settings, etc. Need help, thanks.

cannot see eBay "place bid" field using Firefox 111.0.1 with MacOS Monterey 12.6.3. I can see it when I use Safari and Opera. And I can see it using other versions of MacOS on other computers.

Once I pull up firefox, I NEVER get a search window to start my search. The only 1 that shows at the bottom is chrome? I do get the jump back in, but nothing to start a new one.

When I try to logon to Dropbox I get this message: "Your browser appears to be blocking dropboxcaptcha.com, which is required for authentication. To resolve this issue, please update any anti-virus or ad-blocking software settings to allow connections to dropboxcaptcha.com."

When I start Firefox on Ubuntu under Wayland, Firefox behaves as if both shift keys just stopped working. In any text field pressing either Shift and any character inputs nothing, e.g. Shift+A inputs nothing instead of "A".

This only happens in Firefox, not in any other app that I checked (terminal, Chrome). It also doesn't happen if I start Firefox in a Xorg session.

Pasting such characters *does* work, e.g. I can paste "about:support" in the URL bar but not type it (":" requires shift).

This also happens when I start Firefox in troubleshooting mode.

What are the next steps in troubleshooting this?

Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

Please Help

Firefox automatically updated to 123.0. Now the only tabs that will open are to support.mozilla.org or similar mozilla.org links. Everything was fine this morning, but now nothing works. This is problematic because I have a lot of tabs open for different sites that I work on daily.

how to permanently keep the warning about closing multiple tabs?

Every so often, probably due to an unseen update, when I press the red X at the top of of a page where multiple tabs are open, to see how many tabs are open, they disappear, and the preference option to not close multiple tabs without warning (which says the # of tabs open), has to be turned back on.

Hi guys,

With only one tab open in Firefox, the attached jpg is what I see in my task manager.

My desktop is extremely laggy for obvious reasons....but dont know why.

Confusing to see so many child tasks under the parent.

Anyone know what I need to do to over come the general slowness etc on my box.
