Applications labeled Firefox 8.01, but icon on dock opens Firefox 3.6; cannot delete dock 3.6 icon.
I have downloaded Firefox 8.01 to Applications and the Applications title is Firefox 8.01. But if I double-click Firefox in Applications, the monitor comes up with Firefox 3.6; I get the same result if I click on Firefox on the dock. I try to remove the dock Firefox icon so I can replace it with the Applications version, but cannot remove the Firefox icon from the dock.
