Hi,

My thuderbird is showing an error that seems to be a bug.

A client email changed server and from that moment on, every time I try to send email to it from within Thunderbir a window opens with the message:

Error sending email. There was an error sending email. The email server replied: No Such User Here.

However, this email exists and is correct. On another PC with thunderbird, it sends normal. The bug seems to be in that thunderbird.

What I've already tried: - Reinstall thuderbird - Create a new Profile and import the accounts - Create customer email within Thunderbird with automatic information search and thunderbird found customer account - I already cleared the thunderbird cache

I don't know how to fix this crash on my thunderbir. Recipient email changed server and thunderbird can't find it.

It is not Thunderbird's job to locate the recipient's server on the internet. That is the job of the outgoing server of your email service provider. Is this message originating from your outgoing server as soon as you hit send and therefore the message never gets sent, or is it a reply from the recipient's server after your outgoing server successfully sends the message?

@Stans So how do you understand this question?

I have multiple email accounts set up on my Thunderbird. Even me using the other accounts (@gmail, @hotmail, @privatedomain) still the same error.

I have Thunderbir in use on another PC on the same network and when I send it from that other PC, it works normal without any errors.

This looks like you're sending from account A through the smtp server identified with account B. Select an account in the left pane of Account Settings and look at the Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the right pane. The gmail account should be sending on the gmail smtp, the hotmail account should be sending on the hotmail smtp etc. Maybe you have all accounts sending on the Default smtp server.

@sfhowes Not. When I change the email account it automatically changes the SMTP it sends, I don't use standard SMTP account.

Perhaps you could post the Mail and News Accounts section of Help/More Troubleshooting to see the setup.

@sfhwes Follow the settings screens as an example.

Your second picture appears to show the account is sending on the correct smtp, but the rest is not sufficient to show that all the accounts are sending on the smtp where the account/smtp User Name is the same.

@sfhowers,

I will not put all the bills. I just exemplified that different accounts send by different SMTP and showed that I have several SMTP configured to send different accounts in Thunderbird. Seeing all accounts is irrelevant. Each account has and is configured to send via its specific SMTP and not standard SMTP.

Delete all references to the "new" person from your address books, particularly attention to the "collected" address book. Add them again and see if it fixes anything.

I can see two possible scenarios here.

The 7th account in SMTP is the default (I think that is what the word in brackets after the name implies) In certain circumstances Thunderbird will use the default server to send mail. This is particularly so when using the unified folder. My guess is this is a particularly old account where you no longer have service. Hence the issue being "no such user" when it is used.

The entry is in your address book incorrectly. Generally this manifests with deliverability issues and often comes down to "space" included in the save address. IF there is a leading or training space it is very hard to see unless you are really looking for it. Hence my suggestion to delete all entries from address books.

But basically having the error as it appears posted would be helpful here I think. Perhaps a screen capture of the error?
