Can't export bookmarks

I installed Firefox Quantum 57.0 (64bit) and the “Export Bookmarks to HTML” procedure no longer works. (Show All Bookmarks -->Import and Backup-->Export Bookmarks to HTML)

Clicking on “Export Bookmarks to HTML” opens the Desktop but clicking “Save” does not save the HTML file.

I wonder whether the Xmarks add-on that I have installed prevents the export of bookmarks (even after I unchecked the synchronization). I tried exporting Bookmarks on my tablet ( no Xmarks add-on, Windows 10, Firefox Quantum 57) and that worked just fine.
