I want to stop the auto reload, options is not in Tools and I cannot find anywhere else to go. Please help.
I have read the questions and none of the answers apply. Under the Tools, I have Downloads, Add-Ons, Set-up Sync..., then Web Developer and finally Page Info. Please tell me how to stop the automatic downloads. It used to be readily available, but now you have hidden it.

Do you mean that it should ask you where to save files to? If that is the case then you can set that by going to Options and selecting "Always ask me where to save files".
On Mac OSX it is Firefox >Preferences as Options is on Windows.
