With the geeksphone Revolution and a Eplus SIM card, after a couple of minutes of network access the system stops recognizing the SIM card.

I have the Geeksphone revolution boot2Gecko 1.3.0.0-prerelease from Geeksphones homepage (there are no newer updates from Geeksphone)

I have a EPlus contract. Everything works fine when I have a wireless connection. FirefoxOS is fast, stable and fun. When I am on the Eplus network, all is fine aswell as song as I just write send SMS or call. Using the internet works for some minutes, the network changes very often from H to H+ or 3G. And then the network is lost and the phone sais there is no SIM card anymore. On reboot the SIM card is found without problem.

One more thing is I had to manually cut the SIM card to fit the microSIM slot, but as it is working with SMS, I thought it might be a software problem.

cheers & keep up the great work!

I found some information on the bug in a geeksphone forum:

-- quote --

  • "No sim card" in notification related with data usage: Error identified. Working to fix it. (Fota 7-April)

-- quote end --

I am not sure if that means that Mozilla is working on it or Geeksphone, or if and in which release it is fixed. However, we can be sure that someone is aware of it, which is great!
