On updating to firefox 155 in widows 10, I lost my left side bar on start up with just blank page and search engine box, with firefox application menu n top right of screen. I would like my Bookmarks menu on left sideof screen with menu drop-down folders containing site tabs contained in left side bar as previously obtained. Can anyone help with this frustration Many thanks, Dickie

I had automatic updates turned on for Firefox on my older Windows 10 Thinkpad. Update 154 (64 bit) has made my machine fail to connect, run very slowly on loading sites and caused mailchimp to malfunction. I have already spent hours trying to undo all the damage, but the sites are still loading very slowly. Can an update be reversed easily? Do I just need to change some settings? I have cleared cache and site data several times over, set tracking to standard and added mailchimp to ublock exceptions. What else can I try?

Hi I've attempted to disabled the entire new block of 'Stories' but they continue to show up cluttering my screen. Why isn't 'disable' working? How can i get rid of everything except the search window and my single line of helpful links? Gary

Hi, I believe this is some kind of bug/issue after the latest browser update (as I've quite literally never had this issue before). I like my launch page not to be cluttered with nonsense, no widgets, no activity, just my standard pinned shortcuts and the google search bar. However, after the latest update, "stories" have been on and have stayed on (despite altering all the settings that should get rid of it altogether). Even after turning it off, it appears it turns itself back on immediately. I don't want to see this junk and shouldn't have to, no one should, I even went to the trouble of blocking all topics in hopes the thing would just vanish. It did not. I hoped to report this to Mozilla more directly but couldn't find a meaningful bug report option. If anyone else has encountered this or if anyone has a true solution, I'd like to hear it, thank you.

i have said many times that i keep getting Firefox running but not responding . i have contacted many places and complained had some of your r tech try and help now with the new update i am still getting it yet i was told it would be fixed. i have reinstalled i have removed and shut off some add ons cleared cache all but cookies and still i get it funny until the last 2 new versions i never had this problem it is a Firefox problem not mine. i would have thought you would have fixed it by now

Since the 153.0 update, the shortcut algorithm has dramatically worsened. First, it assigned too much weight and too sensitive to the recent visits, such that all of the top row in shortcuts are populated with random recent visited websites even though they are likely would never be visited again. Second, neither 'dismiss' or 'delete from history' would clear those unwanted shortcuts. Each shortcut seem to be on the URL level, not the domain. As a result I can never clear those random recently visited domains as I have to delete each single URL I visited. Please revert the algorithm to pre-152.

個人的にFirefoxの過去のアクセス履歴が欲しいため、毎日places.sqliteのバックアップを取得していました。 先日、バージョン154.0になった時点で、突然それまで利用していたアクセス履歴やブックマークが使えなくなり、バックアップしていたplaces.sqliteファイルをコピーしても同様の現象が起こってしまいます。

詳しく調べたところ、どうもバージョン154からplaces.sqliteに格納されているテーブルの構造が変わっているようで、アクセス履歴などが消えた理由もそこにありそうです。

今後も過去のアクセス履歴は利用したいため、直前のバージョンのplaces.sqliteを新しいバージョンに移行する具体的な方法について、もしご存じの方がいらっしゃったらご教示お願いします。 （sqlite managerなどツールを使ってのインポート／エクスポートは既に試しております）

This first screenshot ( Firefox 1.jpg) is from Firefox. and two problems appear, marked with red - the text on the left is truncated, and the dropdown on the right doesn't work:

The second and third screens (Edge1 and Edge2) are captured from Microsoft Edge, no truncated text, and dropdown works.

Is it me, or Firefox, or the BBC? Thanks for looking!

Firefox does not delete history by using any of the recommended procedures. Clear recent does not work either. The only way I can delete history in by going to manage history and manually deleting.

Firefox uses firefox icon instead of website icon. Can change it thru properties/change icon but every time i make a shortcut i have to change it if i want the right one.

i was just opening a page and it kept saying Firefox running but not responding and then i gt the photo i am showing you what is it and why see photo being downloaed by another insrtance ??

Using the latest Firefox update with Windows 10. I've got three popups in the lower right corner of my screen (see uploaded image), and each refreshes periodically with a musical phrase that sounds like a smartphone notification. Though each says "Mozilla Firefox" in the upper left hand corner, the popups are present whether the browser is open or not. All three say, "via da75iiinaffc73ar8f20.yird-protect.pro".

I've already gone to Settings, cleared my History, made the recommended changes in Permissions and Data, and closed and reopened the browser. The popups remain.

Why does Mozilla 154.0 always stall after a couple of minutes? It is a hell of a mess. I couldn't place this question without resorting to an older version of Firefox :-[[

Did anybody test V 154.0 anytime, at all?

I unfortunately updated a Windows 10 computer to this version of Firefox.

As such, I cannot provide you with troubleshooting information, because the new browser 154.0 does not work. At. All.

I did all the usual stuff like restarting the computer, the users of Windows OS junk are used to anyway. The Task Manager shows not less than 16 Firefox-processes, with a truckload of memory usage, having opened just one browser tab. Waiting for 20 minutes for firefox to show me the grace of continuing its operation didn't help either.

Any ideas?

i have been tired many things to do and have tried all of them instead of uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Which i should not have to do as none of what is happening is my fault. I have done all i was asked by many of you and have done it all . I am getting no answer and no real solution by Firefox to tell me why i continue to get that you all think i am a dumbie none of this is my problem yes i have desktop icons which i have always had and yes they ope up with Firefox and never ever have i had this before they have always open with no problem until this last updated version. I am constantly getting Firefox is running but not o responding. Why when i go to chrome or click the chrome add on in address bar a say click on my amazon I con it opens right up with not saying google is running but not responding. why ca none of you answer the question and why can it not be accepted that it is a Firefox problem and not me. As i have said i have had these same desktop shortcuts since i got my computer on windows 7. up until this last version i never ever had Firefox say it is running but not responding. Like ic said i have done all that way said by Bugzilla Firefox help and still no real answer and no fix . I am tellin you it is not me it is a Firefox problem. why can this not be researched and find out why. I am sure i am nt the only one with this problem. Please i need a solution or ill stop using Firefox which i have for over 20 years but apparently Firefox does not care and thanks SOLUTION PLEASE
