YouTube videos not working with Firefox since recent updates. Videos start to load but don't don't complete. Firefox is the only browser with this issue. Have tried three other browsers without issue.
If I key a search term into the browser bar and hit enter it begins searching. About 95% of the time nothing happens. No message. I just notice the 'x' to stop the search… (了解更多)
If I key a search term into the browser bar and hit enter it begins searching. About 95% of the time nothing happens. No message. I just notice the 'x' to stop the search is gone, and a 'retry' circle replaces it.
This has been going on for months. I have used firefox for years. I have renewed it, replaced it, removed all addons, accepted updates usually each day. stopped accepting updates. Refreshing, renewing, seems to help for a couple minutes. Deleting all history helped...maybe. I am on satellite internet. Also use chrome. Most of the time now, After I key a query in firefox, I switch to chrome and do the same query while waiting. Chrome works. Just doesn't have all my passwords and sites yet.
I am on windows 7 home premium. I have an AMD FX 6100 6-core CPU running at 3.3 Ghz. I have 8 gigs of RAM. I am not overclocking. I use Avast antivirus. A few months ago I bought the avast cleanup tool which was a massive mistake, I had already done all the things it wanted to try, it is just a nuisance. In settings, I have a message that says firefox is managed by my organization. I wish I could get rid of that. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

I do a lot of OS switching - I test various Linux distros on my 5 laptops and one really old 32 bit system for my mother-in-law and I am wondering if I can use FireFox Accounts over and over without making a new service device every time I need something from FF Accts :P
This has bugged my off and on for a long time but I have mostly ignored the issue ... until last week I discovered I had like 20 some odd devices on my account -- going back 2 years or more. Now, I signed out of many of them and I am down to about 15 -- mostly because I am a little confused about how FF Accts determines what to sync ... especially since I use FF for testing and the shouldnt be that much in each 'sync' device ...
So, is there a way to use FF Accts 'sync' to get my data to a new device without making a new 'synced' device?

PS - a few FF releases in the past I got what I wanted by just copying the .mozilla directory to the new system but that broke a few releases ago :P too bad stuff has to change :(
Also, please understand that I am on Android, iOS, MacOS, and Linux daily so trying to 'gather' what I am submitting this question on will not lend itself to trying to solve my insanity >< Sorry!

I love how the new tab page clearly states "Never fear losing a closed tab again.", and then when a window disappears it is followed by zero history to recover it. I have not restarted Firefox, let alone my computer since the last time the window was seen (about half an hour ago). It's not in my Alt+Tab tray hiding. I don't even remember closing the tab--though it's possible my keyboard double pressed when I was closing another window. (It's old and has a tendency to double hit keys). But now I have lost a window with at least 20 tabs open--mostly things i had yet to deal with and don't remember the URL to get back to it.
What use is my history and ability to reopen accidentally closed windows if everything just disappears from it within half an hour after the window could've been closed?
I would prefer to keep most of my browsing on Firefox, but I can't constitute that if I'm going to lose months worth of saved tabs randomly.

Starting yesterday, I was unable to access my History, I tried the other items across the top of the screen and none of them are accessible. Somewhere I saw I should click on a menu button for finding history: I cannot find a menu button "in the upper corner". I kept looking for help and was sent in circles. I also kept seeing something about Firefox Accounts; and Firefox Accounts vs. Mozilla Accounts: I have NO idea what that means. I tried to sign in: no. So, I think I have created a Firefox account now, with a password and done the "reset". I also do not know what that means, but here I am. Please someone tell me how to get help: help that does not assume I already know the answer. Thank you.

The latest Firefox version 106.0.5 (64-bit) is not working with Fed Ex Ground tracking (https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/system-error?trknbr=004262400138295,004262400138301) on Macbook Pro, OSX 10.13.6. Previous FF version was working. Chrome & Safari browsers are working.

It used to work untill a few months ago, but once, with no reason, just stopped playing sounds , no matter if I accessed a news channel, Youtube or other site that uses sounds.. for this purpose I am forced to use Chrome or Microsoft Edge, but I like more Firefox. I can't use any mouse's scroll wheel in Firefox. I've tried multiple mouses and even a trackpad and none of them will scroll. They all work fine elsewhere in the Ubuntu OS, but just not in Firefox. The manual scroll bars work fine and auto scroll works fine. I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode with all extensions and add ons disabled, but that didn't work. I tried turning off the hardware acceleration in Firefox settings and that didn't help either. Any suggestions before I switch browsers?
