How do I change the size of the fonts/display of websites when using Firefox as my browser?

The most reliable way to make everything larger or smaller is to use Firefox's zoom feature. If you hold down the Ctrl key with your left hand and tap the + and - keys with your right hand you can see this in action. Or you can hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel. To return to the default level, hold Ctrl and tap 0 (zero).
If you find that you need to zoom every site, you can use an add-on to pre-set your preferred zoom level as the default. Here are two that have been around for a long time:
After setting your Global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites using Firefox's standard zoom feature.
