What technology is behind adaptive apps search?

In particular I wonder: What search engine is used? How does it find out which web-site is optimized for small screens? Where do the nice icons come from?

Hello,

I'm not sure of the details of where the icons come from but my understanding is that the adaptive app search technology comes from a combination of work between Mozilla and DoAT Media Ltd.

See here: http://everything.me/

I suggest getting in touch with people on the Mozilla Developer Network through IRC to ask how you can control the icon used for your app.

I hope this helps.
