Unable to access university's 'Web Authentication Request' page

Affected Platforms: Firefox 24.0 on Ubuntu 12.04/13.04 systems

Complete Description: For the past 15 days, our systems (with the above configurations) could connect to 'WiFINetwork1' as well as 'WiFINetwork2' wireless networks and be redirected to 'Login Page' (shown in Titlebar) without a problem but the actual page for logging in doesn't show up

Steps Tried (Not working): Clearing all cookies and history

Temporary Fix (Working): As of now the only fix we're following is to access from an alternate Firefox profile rather than the default.

  Steps: *** $firefox --no-remote -P'
*** choose any other profile (or Create a new one) that is not the user's default one
             *** Login form is displayed

NOTE: After a few days, even this new profile becomes useless and another profile has to be created anew.

Urgency: This has been reported by every such user (using 'Affected Platforms') I knew on campus

Response from the WiFi support team on campus: The issue began since the update to 24.0 on their systems too. Could be an issue with our (their) Cisco product configurations but are clueless about the cause of the issue

*** Advice: Move to some other browser than Firefox

Any luck with a Private Browsing mode window in case of corrupted cookies and cache?

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

If that issue affects only Ubuntu versions of Firefox 24, try posting here - http://ubuntuforums.org/ - The Ubuntu PPA versions of Firefox aren't exactly the same as the Linux versions built by Mozilla,
