hello ronde48, the android version behaves a bit differently than the desktop browser. there should be a dedicated android-style (3-dot) menu button or a hardware menu key on certain devices to access the options and other tools. you can access your bookmarks and history by tapping into the address bar...

thanks for the quick response. I have the 3 dots on the right side but it does not have the menu items like the desktop has. no options, bookmarks, history tabs etc. This all started because I wanted to clear history from the top sites page and all the answers say go to main menu an clear history, but I can not find the main menu.

hello, such instructions may well have been for desktop versions only then.

to clear the history, tab on the menu button, go to options > privacy & security > clear private data where you can select to delete your history. as already mentioned you can access your bookmarks and history by just tapping into the address bar. you can then also long-tap any entry to pin it on the start-screen instead of the automatically populated top sites.

when you're new to firefox on your mobile device, you might also have a look at Getting started with the Firefox for Android tablet browser.

I have watched some of the videos but she talks so fast and low they are hard to follow. (Guess old windows guys should stick to windows platforms) I tab the 3 dots, settings, Privacy & security, clear private data, all items checked, clear data but going back to firefox home page I still have all my top site, book marks, only the history tab is clear. Is that the way it's supposed to be?

maybe you'll have to "kill" the browser once through the android task switcher/manager for the change to take effect on the start page.

where might that switcher/manager be?

a long press on the home button of the device should bring it up according to http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-20092106-285/using-the-built-in-task-manager-on-galaxy-tab-10.1/

Thanks Philipp for the help. I've had enough fun today messing with this tablet and going to call it quits for now. Again thank you.
