undelete a folder of bookmarks
hello: I just deleted a folder holding many bookmarks from my bookmark toolbar (inadvetedly. i thought i was deleting the one next to it....
is there any way to get it back or have i lost all those bookmarks, there is like 200 in that folder. thankyou

If you haven't closed Firefox yet then you can use Organize > Undo (Command + Z) in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
If you have accidentally removed bookmarks then use "Organize > Undo" in the bookmarks manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) to get them back.
The Organize button is the first of the three buttons next to the Back and Forward buttons on the toolbar in the Library (Bookmarks Manager).
That only works if you haven't closed Firefox.
If it didn't work then you can restore the bookmarks from a JSON backup.
This will replace all current bookmarks and you lose bookmarks that were added since that backup was created.

hi cor-el, i thought it had crasshed as it was going very slow.. and i think that is why the wrong button got pressed.. i thought it had just switched names intiially as i had dragged a folder from the one of the bookmark folders (within a toolbar item) to the bookmark toolbar, then started doing funny things on toolbar... so i had closed it down. when i reopend. and verified the folder gone.
i have session manager "add-on" installed. not sure if i can retrieve another way...

If you can't use Undo then you need to restore the bookmarks via a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore > Choose File
Import & Backup is the third button in the Library (first is Organize and second is Views).

i have not done it yet. when i go to the restore list there is one for today's date 17 June, and then 16 June etc.. is the 17 June as of current (so lost info) or is before i closed down firefox if it is before, then i should take 16 june.
is my logic correct or wrong?
You can check the file date of each backup to see which has been created before you deleted this bookmarks folder.
On Mac you may also have backup copies in the Time Machine of places.sqlite in addition of the bookmarkbackups that you can look at.
