No text at all in adress bar when opening a new window
After updating (2 latest I think?) currently 16.0.2 ver, when I open a link in a new window there is no text at all in the adressbar. Reloading or bookmarking a page like that does not work since adress is blank, I have to open page properties copy the link there, paste in adress field and go to the page. Can not find any info about how to restore this to previous working state. Adress shows in new tabs, from links in same window etc.

That's odd. Couple questions:
Does it matter how you open the new window, e.g., whether you (1) right-click>Open Link in New Window, (2) Shift+click the link, or (3) it's a pop-up generated by the page?
If you right-click the page content, does the context menu have a "This Frame" sub-menu, which would indicate that the page is framed?
In case this is caused by an add-on, a standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode (Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If the site works correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
To disable plugins as well as extensions, you can try here:
orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins category

Thanks! I thought I had disabled all addons one-by-one, but I started safe mode and the problem was gone. I must have skipped over one, turned out to be caused by Divx html5 video player...
