Why doesn't check answer box work on math websites for example math(dot)com?

After completing a math problem, I click the 'check your answer' button only to find that nothing happens.

Yes, Firebug & no script(disabled).

Looks that the site is using some old JavaScript that isn't compatible with (current) Firefox versions.
Doesn't work in Google Chrome as well.
